However, personality is not the same as "character." You can have a okay personality, but have sterling character traits that make you a wonderful human being. Personality is only an external projection of energy. I mean, it's like comparing Carol Channing's personality to the Dalai Llama. She has more external joie de vivre, but his soul (of which character is the main component of) is likely far more loving.
People find my personality "cool" until they actually meet me, and then they find me warm, goofy, playful, caring and other parts.
Personality reminds me of "masks" such as Shakespeare had his actors hold up while acting out his plays: one mask showed anger and another showed joy, and another sorrow. None of those are your "soul": they're a momentary show of your exterior which can change from moment to moment.
