You don't have to be in prison not to have access to women, at least 75% of straight guys are unattractive (out of shape, don't take care of themselves, no style) and have absolutely no game. Now, you might not know this, but it's a lot more demanding to get laid with girls than it is with guys, hence why it's not always an option to a lot of straight guys.

This is what many "straight" men are after actually. I have had a few straight guys try to "seduce" me and in none of the instances did i picture them as the "top" or "dominate", even tho all these guys are pretty much on top of the social ladder, could have any woman they wanted, extremely attractive and intelligent, etc.

However, another dynamic presents itself - that assuming a submissive role may be in-line with other alpha male traits.

This is a very interesting point and view and it's true in many cases. It's also really hot to see these types of "alpha male" masc guys act like bottom bitches behind closed doors.
