X-Men's top 3 most powerful women

Im not gonna lie, I feel Jubilee and Shadowcat are so waste... like powerful young mutants i think of

Moonstar
Magik
and Magma,

are you saying their potential has been wasted, or the characters are a waste? if it's the latter than i gotta call BULLSHIT!!! Jubilee could've been quite the badass, and this thread has given me a new appreciation for Shadowcat's(who i've always hated) abilities.

Moonstar was awesome when she used her psychic arrows. Magik's coolness goes without saying. never had the chance to get into Magma really. i like the idea of her, but i didn't read most of the original New Mutants, so i haven't really seen too much of her.

Well like Jubilee to me was really young, I do remember in the apoclypse the twelve storyline when Jubilee was grown up a bit and her powers were stronger but like Dazzler I felt like her potential was wasted tho now especially because she has been depowered, and its not fair cause Jubilee was a BIG character in the 90s. And Shadowcat to me had to learn hand to hand combat or she would have been a horrible character, but for a power that doesnt have much to it, she did work it well with the walking on unstable molecules.
But like i still stand by my thoughts that they arent powerful mutants, especially not Shadowcat, but i do love them.

Magik was that one character that had too much power for her own good, like when she was getting the armor and then turning into Darkchylde and just the storylines she was given.

really tho I cant name an X-Woman i hate,

Wow this is really hard to post. I mean, depending on HOW you define their powers and how much control they have over their abilities (i.e. how writers chose to portray their powers in ever creative fashion), I could name 10 off the top of my head. But... if I had to pick three (currently alive) it'll have to be:

1. Emma Frost
Omega level telepath + nigh invulnerable scondary mutation + "top class breeding" = I wish I was str8 so I could have wet dreams about her tying me on a bed and having her ways with me...

2. M / Monet St Croix
M is very much like Emma; in fact, their personalities often clash back in the good ole Gen-X days. Monet also has a broad range of super powers and to top it off, she is filthy rich with a well-connected family.

3. Rachel Summers
After she rejoined the X-Men and before she was off-planet (say UXM 450ish to 470ish), she was kickass. Her power levels had to be on par with her mother, she's got the most experience using her powers because of her time in future gulags (see, concentration camps for minorities are good for something...) and knowledge of a possible future.

Of course, most guys would go for Storm but I didn't include her in my list solely because of her claustrophobia. Magik, Psylocke, Rogue (I need to know more about how Mike Carey has tinkered with her powers), Magma were also strong contenders. Until they resurrect Jean Grey yet AGAIN....

PS-Rumors are abound of her impending return for either '10 or '11. Writers have been seeding X-books with hints of her presence lately. Why can't you let the redhead stay dead? I mean, you left Captain America alone... oh wait, scratch that.

well, in Jubes' case, it's not that she's not a powerful mutant. they just rarely explored the devastation her powers were capable of. SO hoping she somehow gets her powers back, so that she can finally start handing some chumps their asses.

I was reading an article about a month ago that had one of the writers for X-Men. He said that they have no intentions of bringing Jean back anytime soon, which is why they continue with references of her.

I'm with the majority here in saying Jean was probably the most powerful female X-Man, followed closely by Storm. As for my number two pick, I would really like to say Psylocke or Shadowcat, but Emma probably is more powerful than them--I just hate to admit it. I'm curious to see what her real role in this whole Utopia X storyline will be. And did we ever really find out what happened to Kitty? The last I saw of her she was phasing a rocket through the Earth. Did I miss something or is she just gone?

In comic-verse, "gone" is a very relative term. Yeah, poor Kitty was phasing that rocket at the end of Whedon's run in Astonishing X-men. I wouldn't say she's dead but she is definitely out of the picture. As with most comic book "deaths", her departure was vague as in "no bodies were ever found" kinda vague. I wouldn't be surprised at all if she shows up in one of Marvel's non-Earth-based titles... say, PLANET HULK!! Wishful thinking in my part.

#1Sage AKA Tessa - When it comes to brain over brawn, no one compares.
#2Cassandra Nova - The ultimate evil twin.
#3Shadowcat - AKA Kitty Pride - She's virtually indestructible.

never understood why Sage gets so much hate. yes the origin retcon thing was a bit annoying, but i thought she was cool as hell in Xtreme.

#4Marvel Girl - AKA Rachel Summers - What everyone else said
#5The Black Queen - AKA - Selene - She's Fuckin' Immortal
#6Psylocke - AKA Betsy Braddock - Her brain is her brawn

almost mentioned Selene, but i didn't wanna hear any bitching about her not being an actual member. always had an odd fascination with her. would LOVE to see her and Emma mix it up. almost shit myself when Selene showed up in X-Force. hope they clear up the thing with Wither....
