Forgot about Banjo. Didn't realize there was more than one Viva Pinata game. Not into racing games, so I didn't remember PGR or Forza (or GTA 5, a PS3 exclusive)

Funny you mention Viva pinata [2]. I actually made a profit off the game. I bought it for $20 and sold it for $25.

- RRoD is not an issue if you have a newer model 360 so mentioning that is pointless.

- Listing exclusives for each system is pretty much grabbing at straws. Especially with next gen consoles and the heavy push for full-scale digital games, you will see even less exclusives.

I have both but I prefer Xbox because I think the Xbox live interface is easy to use. And I like the controller.

The Wii is fun and all, but for home entertainment and the more serious games, the console sucks. I tried Call of Duty on a Wii once and was surprised how bad the graphics were.

Look at the games for each system and pick whichever system has more games that you like. Games that are on both systems tend to run better on the Xbox, but it usually isn't that noticeable.

On a side note, If you buy a 360 new, you don't need to worry about the RRoD. Same goes for the PS3. I would say buy new for either because the hardware failure is lower for both.

Also, to clear up what someone said, the 360 has backwards compatibility for some games, but not all.

I'm more of an audiophile than a gamer, and surprisingly, the Blu-ray in the PS3 is ranked as one of the highest qualty players available anywhere.

"The Oppo" is generally considered the reference quality Blu-ray player, and the PS3 ranks just slightly below that one for hundreds of dollars less.

Actually, the console is #1 for home entertainment. Nintendo's first party titles are majorly fun and of great quality. Try those. Save the war games for the 360 or PS3 because of course those ones are better there.

At least for batteries, I find it hilarious how much the Wii controllers eat through batteries compared to the 360 one.

That's fine. I always get to play beautiful games and the online experience is amazing.

Nintendo is only now believing in the power of online content and online gaming. The Wii is just too far behind the power curve.

I was going to add that you should get it on PS3 if you don't want to pay for the subscription, but if you will be playing online you might as well.

Games performance wise tend to have always a bit of edge towards xbox having less framerate issues and texture issues (Xbox is easier to develop for)

It's not that Xbox is easier to develop for it's that, as I said earlier, Microsoft dishes out arse-loads of money to developers to make games for the 360 first and then they are adapted for the other consoles. That's why you have those framerate and texture issues on the PS3 for multiplatform games like Call of Duty, The Elder Scrolls, and Fallout but not on PS3 exclusives like Resistance, inFamous, Uncharted, and so forth.

Also, there are a lot of PSOne and a few PS2 games available on PSN. I assume that they are eventually going to add more PS2 games, but they are certainly taking their time with it.

To compare the motion gaming: I think you have to give the edge to Kinect. I have never played it, but I've heard good things. Unfortunately, it's very expensive and I don't know how many games they have for it. PS Move is cheaper, but they only have a handful of games that actually use it, and most of those feature it as an option and are generally more fun using a normal controller.
