The women I've dated were a lot less complicated than the men.
If you're anything like me, then the attraction to men is going to increase as you get older and the one towards women will decrease. The only issue I have is that I still am attracted to other men. I have no idea how I will be able to keep my physical and sexual urges toward other guys in check while I'm dating a girl. Same thing goes for if I were to date a guy, but I feel the affect is more severe when dating a female. At this point, I'm at a loss of what I should do.

If you were dating a man and were comfortable with your sexuality you could show physical attraction in public without caring what people think.
Exactly----If you are comfortable with yourself, you won't care what others think. If this is the only reason you are dating girls, then you are dating them for the wrong reason. You say that people in the gay world are not as accepting of differences as in the straight world. If this is true, then you are just hanging around with the wrong people, because I have NEVER found this to be the case. If you are dating girls out of social pressure to be "normal", then you need to realize that there is no "normal". It sounds hokey, but once you are accepting of yourself, others with better accept you. I've worked with many guys who were initially weirded out about me being gay, but after working with me a while and realizing I felt that I was just as "normal" as they were, they were soon pretty accepting of it.
