You think you know your boyfriend? think again...

Re: You think you know your boyfriend? think again

I move along.

What kind of question is this anyway?

If you asked on the one predominately black site I know of, i know why the responses were so different - and probably dumb as shit.

Oh, I probably know what board you are talking about as well, but if it is what I'm thinking then it isn't as bad it used to be...

Re: You think you know your boyfriend? think again

Here’s the scenario and no it doesn’t apply to me just a situation I thought about.

You’re in an interracial relationship, everything is good. You know you boyfriend, I mean you know him, he’s only into guys of your race, but one day you see him “looking” @ a guy of his own race…

Better yet, he leaves you for someone of his own race…
What would be your reaction?

IS this something you're actually going through? I can't possible say what I'd feel however.

Re: You think you know your boyfriend? think again

It would depend on their reasoning.

If they left me for someone who coincidentally happens to be another race, I wouldn't care (beyond the fact that I just lost a lover).

If they left me thinking that the other race is superior I'd cuss 'em out and write 'em off as a dingbat.

Re: You think you know your boyfriend? think again

This has got to be one of the dumbest damn threads I've ever had the displeasure of commenting on.

I would never date a dude whose primary attraction to me envolved race. What Evah!

First off, no one put a damn gun to your head and told you to comment. If you read the the damn thing with some insight and followed some of the replies, you'd be able to form a better reply, not some stale ass put down.

Apply the situation to one that's more close to home to yourself. I agree. Someone who is one track minded shows their lack of growth. Kudos on that point but your reply was dimmed by that arrogant, lame ass, unwanted comment you started it off with.

Nope, it doens't apply to me at all. I'm in a loving, committed relationship. My partner and I were sitting around and the situation came up while we were just conversating one night in fun.

Oh, I can tell you're going to be popular on this board.

Look.

If you wanted to get feedback on this without anyone sniping, take it to the Relationships and Coming Out board which serves as a 'safe' place for these types of questions.

I think that a number of people, including me, are baffled by the aspect of race being an issue with your boyfriend. What are you most upset by? His looking at another guy? Or the fact that he might have lied about his bias? Or that he looked at a white guy instead of a black guy?

Instead of getting into a pissing match, or drawing comparisons about this site and others, just accept whatever observations others have on the situation.

Nope, not going through this at all. My partner and I are happy and not looking at all.

Well, they've seemed to put a muzzle on the profanity over there so it's gotten a tad dry but still drama filled and highly racial

Re: You think you know your boyfriend? think again

race doesn't matter to me, but cheating is cheating regardless

ditto.....it wouldn't matter if he ran away with a guy of his own race or any other....

if he "cheats"....it's still cheating
