What to say? I'm 18, Scottish and in my first year of university. My case is nothing out of the ordinary: I'm out to my friends but not yet to my family but I'm pretty sure they'll be ok with it. That's the next step!

hey there fellow brit, there be a number of us here so you needn't worry about any different spellings - no one really flames you for things like that here - in fact its a pretty laid back forum!

Im also on my first year @ uni, still meeting people and finding the best circles to fit into... but i hate assignments

You're scottish? Where about? One of my really good friend is from dundee. Impossible to understand him most of the time, but we had fun.

I never realised (I think that's one, Jory) just how many people you meet in first year, that and we're only half way through! Pretty hectic times and the assignments don't make it any easier, you're right.

I grew up in Aberdeen, I like to think we're harder to understand up there! Now in Edinburgh though which is significantly more gay-attuned, it's quite a change of pace!
