Your Ideal Funeral

Cremation is neat and clean but SO expensive. It costs $600 here.

I know of people who pay for the cremation. They have done their obligation to the planet but don't bother about taking the ashes. Ashes are nothing.

I was going to the Philippines with my grandma, brother and cousins. When we had to check in our luggage, the box holding my uncle's ashes triggered the alarm. The guard asked what was in there, and I said my uncle.

I'm guessing that nowadays it would be impossible to carry ashes to another country unless you put them in a clear ziploc bag.

I knew a man who wanted to do that but only some of his organs were acceptable so his widow still had to spend the $1000 to cremate the rest

I have all the arrangements made already. The only restrictions they have are certain communicable diseases that could present a danger to the researchers. Fortunately, I don't have any of those.

I echo those of you who would want to go out without remorse by your family. it is inevitable if they love you BUT my family always pours on a good amount of liquor and thinks about the deceased. More of a party than a cry fest.
