Re: • Childhood Signs that You Were Gay?

- borrowing sports section just to look at hot athletes.
- checking out bulges on my soccer teammates. hated contact sports though.
- dresses made out of blankets...that didn't last long, anyway pretty sure my parents disapproved of that

i STILL watch football and baseball for the same reason*|**|**|*

Seeing a straight porno when i was 10 and being disgusted by the lesbian scenes and really turned on by the BJ's!

I really liked old-times ladies' dresses, with crinolines and stuff.

I used to play with "boyish" stuff mostly, but with barbies as well.

I really liked Kylie Minogue. I could say that was because it was the only tape me and my sister got, but the second one was by Queen. I liked Europe band - but not for their music, but for how they looked. In general, I always adored men with long hair. Oh, I liked Madonna's Dear Jessy and La Isla Bonita very much as well. Gay.

I looked like a girl, and spoke like a girl. Everyone thought I'm a girl. And up to some age I was sort of flattered by that. I liked to dress up like a girl, and wanted to have long hair.

I kissed my friend at mouth at the age of 7, and actually wanted another one to tie me up and undress me (which he started doing, but unfortunatelly we couldn't go on) at similar age. On another hand, I played a naughty games with a female friends as well.

uh.

Oh yes, I too remember masturbating to the men´s underwear pages of the sears catalog even when I was eleven!
But at this time I never thought of this as being gay.
When I realized it is not normal for a guy to look at half naked guys; I made the ultimate test: I stared at the womens underwear section to see what happened- surprisingly I was not getting an erection. After that I turned to the mens section and my cock was getting hard in one second. That was my evidence!

Looking back on it, by the time I was 6 years old I was interested in seeing men with their shirts off in magazines and catalog’s, didn’t know why yet.

Never was interested in dolls or dresses or any of that, I wanted to play with the boys

Other than getting off on looking at shirtless guys?

Big Jim.

wow same here
men interested me so, so much more

the first time I came was to gay porn, while I was still convinced I was straight

I used to put pencils in my ass when I was in kindergarten & I was obsessed with Spice Girls.

There you go.

Re: • Childhood Signs that You Were Gay?

I got a hard on when I saw an actor stripping off his clothes in a movie. I was 10.

I was in love with Donny Osmond! I still get a warm feeling all over when I see him to this day. I would just die if I met him in person.

Ditto with Jimmy McNichol....I had shirtless pictures of him on my walls, rofl...but always next to Kristy. ;) Didn't realize back then why, but I was in love.

Also look at Catalogues, mens unerwear section of course, lol.

OK so let's see...

I put my mom's wig on my head and danced around to Britney Spears.

The best part about sleeping over my friend's house was playing with his sister's barbies.

The only sport I watched was wrestling.

When we played house, I'd be the mother and made damn sure the father was cute.

I asked my best friend to show me his goods.

Yep... thats about it. And EVERYONE was shocked when I came out. I was like... really? I kind of made it obvious for you.
Funny "house" story lol

I loved hanging out with my mother in the kitchen when she was cooking or baking.

When I was 12 or 13 I repeatedly checked out from the library the "My Fair Lady" recording....

I was in love with Donny Osmond too.

When I was around ten, someone used the word "homosexual" at the dinner table at my grandmother's house one Sunday afternoon. I innocently asked, "What's a homosexual?" My father, with some embarrassment, said, "Its a boy who likes boys or a girl who likes girls." "Oh, well, I'm a homosexual!" I announced, delighted to have a title at last. My dad sputtered and said, "I mean likes them sexually." I still thought that pretty much applied to me, but I decided to just ask for more mashed potatoes and let it go.

A few months ago I was hanging out with my very straight and very Republican cousin. He has a new girlfriend, a Democrat (horrors) with an eight year old son. The kid was playing in the living room as we were talking. At one point, he started singing, "I am Barbie in my Barbie world". My cousin looked a little embarrassed, and said to me, "Okay, Mr. gay therapist (I am a therapist by profession). What do I do about that?" I said, "Teach him to accessorize."

My cousin laughed, but then said, "Actually, I'm serious. That doesn't mean he's gay of course, but if he is, I want him to know it is cool with me." We had a serious conversation about that, and I gained a new respect for my cousin.

When I was little, I loved watching Flipper. I couldn't get enough of Luke Halpin. God he was cute! I so wanted to spend some alone time with him in some hidden cove.... lol!

But it was a kids show, so my parents never questioned my unwavering fascination with it.

Did the underwear section in the catalogs too.

Never did "girly" things, though.

Use to get turned on when I was 12 in PE class when guys dicks or balls were hanging out their shorts

Re: • Childhood Signs that You Were Gay?

Pretty much all gay men are effeminate to some degree. In fact, having feminine characteristics is conditione sine qua non for being gay. Why? Because being attracted to men is a feminine characteristic. You cannot find men attractive if you don't have some femininity.
I disagree.

This is why the 100% genuinely butch gay man is a gay fantasy that only exists in the masturbatory dreams of gay men. Why would a 100% masculine man be attracted to men? Why would he want something that he already has?

And here I stop reading. I'm certainly not angry but it feels like you're just trolling. This is just... silly. What you have doesn't affect what you are attracted to. Oh I don't like manly men because I, myself, am manly? No. You're not sexually attracted to yourself. It just doesn't play out like that. Femininity is completely personality-based. I have feminine straight friends.

Gays are certainly more open and accepting of traits that are feminine, and more quick to embrace them, I'll agree with that. Many straight men try to ignore any feminine traits because it makes them feel insecure or whatnot. I still really strongly disagree with what you're saying, though.

on-topic: I tried to top my 'cousin' (we're not actually blood-related, thank god!) when we were bathing together, I must've been like 5 or 6 at most. Couldn't even get an erection but we tried to have sex. That was a pretty big warning sign. LOL.

I used to pretend I was Kylie Minogue!

I also used to wear my Mum's killer heels, ear rings, lipstick etc :)

I honestly can't recall any "signs" from my childhood. I guess I found myself attracted to other boys sometimes, but not very often and I really had no idea that it made me different from the other boys. Yeah, not much here.
