Re: • Childhood Signs that You Were Gay?

Ha ha!

What did she text back??

I don't really remember but it was something like a simple "... Ya." lol - it was no big deal at all, we've both always known about the other just never talked about it until then.

I didn't really know until about 9 or ten. I started to just get this weird feeling when I saw older guys.... and then 9th grade hit it home for me when I realized I was staring more at the guys photos in the yearbook than the girls.

Re: • Childhood Signs that You Were Gay?

OMG!

This has to be one of the cutest posts I've ever read on JUB! The way you worded it was hilarious.

hey, I´m German! So dont´t make fun of me! :P

Nothing special, I just realised I liked gay porn as much as straight and lesbian porn. Never really wanted to dress up as a girl, interested in make up or anything like that.. I was/am pretty 'straight' acting just i like the cock, lol. I guess somethings such as loving to dance, shopping with guys and for myself but there are straight people that do that too.

Re: • Childhood Signs that You Were Gay?

when your fellow kids telling you that you are like a girl,
you are very likely to be gay.

Really? I don't know about you, but I don't equate being "girly" to being gay. I never understand why little girls are allowed to be "tomboys," but little boys who like Barbies are immediately sent to counseling for gender confusion.

Re: • Childhood Signs that You Were Gay?

At 7, I was caught wearing my mom's wig and cramming her Dildo up my asshole.

I agree with what you're saying (especially the tomboy thing, that always pisses me off), but all the kids I knew growing up who were considered to be "girly" did in fact turn out to be gay. This is not to say that gay and "girly" and necessarily related, only that there seems (at least in my observation) to be a higher tendency for particularly effeminate little boys to turn out gay once they've become old enough to know better.

The only indication I can think of that signaled that I might be gay to anyone outside of myself, mostly to my dad, was that I always had a thing for clothes. I liked to look nice and I enjoyed when other people did. Of course my dad is the kind of guy that thinks fashion is reserved exclusively for women and gays, and that clothing should never be the concern of a "real man" (damn is he lucky to have my mom ) In the end I did turn out to be gay, but it had less than nothing to do with my clothes and more to do with the fact that guys are beautiful and girls do nothing for me ;). Gotta love my dad.

I've read a theory before that some gay boys begin to identify more with girls as a result of the rejection they get from their male peers, which causes them to become more "feminine." Then again, what caused them to be rejected by their male peers in the first place if before they weren't somehow more visibly different? It's the chicken or egg question all over again.

In all, people should just live and let live. So what if a kid likes dressing in his mother's heels? He's not beating other kids up, so what gives?

And tomboys probably have a higher tendency to turn out lesbian. It seems that people know that innately, which is why many of us are called fags from a very early age. We don't think we show any outward signs, but people pick up on it soon enough.

Maybe as adults the same thing happens, and we don't realize the signs we give off?

The only indication I can think of that signaled that I might be gay to anyone outside of myself, mostly to my dad, was that I always had a thing for clothes. Same here. My father actually consulted with the family pediatrician because I "dressed too well". :D My family knew long before I did.

You're right, he's not evil because he dresses in heels. But it does mean he's probably gay. And there's nothing wrong with that. ..|

I always looked forward to getting my yearbook so i could ogle the hot guys as long as a I wanted. I hated though when some of the hot guys I looked forward to seeing missed picture day and wasn't in the book lol.

You compared penis sizes with Ricky Martin??!!!! ;)

It was probably pretty obvious I was gay. I fit all of the "stereotypes" back then.......shy, nerdy, hated sports, loner...... Hey, I just realized, that describes me today too...lol...

probably the only thing i can think of is when i was like 10 i liked music like backstreet boys, aqua, britney spears, etc. but as i got older i started listening to more rock and techno type stuff, so i dunno.

also sometimes i'd spend hours talking on the phone to certain guys. we also had sleepovers a lot. but i never ended up "doing anything" with them. so at the time i didn't think of it as gay. but looking back maybe it was a bit, subconsciously.

i didn't like wearing girly clothes, i played sports (although i was never good at them), i watched shows like ninja turtles, so other than the two things above i don't think it would have been obvious to anyone (when i came out to my brother he said there was nothing that would have given him a hint)

Re: • Childhood Signs that You Were Gay?

I have trouble remembering a lot of what I liked as a child, but I always remember never being into girls...

and around 12 when I started...you know doing what all the boys do around this age...I would always raise my legs high into the air and I never understood why I did that.

But now I know why...I was waiting for...well you know what I was wanting. haha

Thats about it though. I'm not exclusively Gay. I'm Bisexual, really.

Those are the only signs I remember....

Re: • Childhood Signs that You Were Gay?

I grew up in a house with a lot of art books and I can't remember a time when I wasn't fascinated with the images in Greek and Renaissance sculpture of gods, heroes and athletes and wanting to look and be like them.

When I was old enough to put on some muscle I would strip down and compare my body to the bodies in the pictures. Often I would get a slight erection. Amazingly enough I didn't know what that meant (or didn't want to know) and I can remember wondering why my dick was bigger than the dicks I was seeing in the pictures and thinking it looked out of proportion in comparison.

I particularly admired the Discobolus, the "Discus Thrower". I also liked the Michelangelo "Dying Slaves", and fantasized being stripped and bound and whipped, muscles glistening with sweat. (I went to Catholic schools and got off on seeing pictures of hunky male martyrs being tortured, and enjoyed imagining myself subjected to the same ordeals.)

I swam and loved strutting the deck nearly naked, hoping to be admired and envied by the other guys. By the time I was in sixth grade, any excuse to shed my shirt I'd take. A few friends noticed this and would joke about it. I always wanted to be one of the "skins"--much more gratifying than "shirts"--and liked getting pumped and sweaty and brushing up against the other guys while playing.

It never occured to me that these obsessions were gay; they were simply a part of who I was. It was only much later that I came to think that perhaps they predicted my sexual tastes and behavior.

A question I sometimes ask myself: from 1st grade through college, my best friends were always the best looking guys around, always straight. Many times they pursued me. Did they somehow subliminally understand that I was gay and likely to fall in love with them, and that the resulting bromance would be particularly intense and satisfying?

Re: • Childhood Signs that You Were Gay?

How the heck are you bi if you've never been into girls?

Well...when I was younger I never really was. I am now a lot more. It is difficult to explain.

I find myself attracted more to person based on the way they carry themselves and their attitude. As I grew older I became more attracted to girls because of the way they act in general. I still find both males and females physically attractive, but that factor weights alot less as I mature.

So from my point of view...that makes me bisexual or maybe just a slut. Whatever ;)

lol
