2011 JUB Meet - Portland, Oregon - August 5-7

Isn't the line-up of JUBbers considering this looking very familiar? :lol:

As for myself, I really have no idea - it's an awfully long way to travel if it was just for a single weekend.

Maybe I should plan a massive month-long tour of the West Coast, including all the sights, especially in California (I always wanted to visit there)

I am fortunate in that I have not only the time, but also the money.

I'll see where my life's at in April or May, and decide then. ..|

And you're CORRECT that you would have to spend AT LEAST 2 weeks -- to explore San Francisco, Los Angeles, and other West Coast cities and sites -- its really a MUCH DIFFERENT part of the country than what you saw up in Minnesota...

I THINK that you'd REALLY LIKE it and have an AWESOME time!!!

Well look what Mills stumbled upon, haha. August, eh?

I've always wanted to do the Westcoast, as I've only ever travelled along East. Perhaps the boyf & I could make a 7-10 day trip or something, with the JUB meet at the end.. Who knows?! All I knows, is that he's off work during those dates, and I expect I could be as well.

We shall see..! ;) No promises, yes or no answers yet.. but maybe. ..|

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, too! But hey swerve, you didn't REALLY have to tell him that he'd have an awesome time. He ALREADY knows that, LOL.

CG, the combination of having time and money BOTH available for such a trip is a rarity in this 21st Century reality - use it to this advantage this summer! If you want to make a long U. S. trip and see some cool stuff, I and other people can give you some great ideas. There's a lot to see and do in The West.

You guys will be making the trip, right? YES, you will. Same comment to you as to ChickenGuy (and, no, the comment is NOT limited to Brits, lol) - there's a lot to see in the West. And if you enjoy wilderness and mountain hiking, wildlife, and such, there are nearly countless opportunities for that.

I actually delivered a truckload of giant plastic rolls to Nike...

They USED the plastic to make the ENDS of Shoelaces!!!

SERIOUSLY!!!

Can you IMAGINE how many shoe lace ends can be made from a TRUCK LOAD (40,000 pounds) of Giant plastic rolls!!!

I've just helped to plan a few, and I've learned a few things about what's worked with them, and what hasn't. ..|

Already been in contact with NoC, and it sounds like he's got a plan! (!)
 
We've PRETTY MUCH finalized the "tentative" itinerary -- and it is going to be a BLAST!!! (!)

I say "tentative, because throughout ALL of OUR discussions here on THIS thread -- it can obviously be changed and made even BETTER!!! :D

HOPEFULLY NineOfClubs will find time this weekend to POST IT!!!

OF COURSE -- it you had a couple weeks off, you could ALWAYS hitch-hike...

I KNOW FOR A FACT that an 18 wheeler will be heading that way... :lol:

I am talking to antdak about changing my 2011 Summer trip to July 20th to August so there might be a chance we might attend, will have to see how antdak's work schedule is. So it might be 50/50 for us.
