Oh my god, Joe Biden is seriously considering a run for 2020. I'm all for Joe! (!):cowboy:

Edit.

With all the crazies out to support Trump, I think Joe Biden is the only one who could kick Trump's ass.

The last thing we need are extreme candidates like Warren and Sanders as our frontrunners.

would love to see Biden run...possibly with Beto?

I like Warren, but I feel that the Senate is the place for her at the moment

no thoughts on Bernie...

The biggest problem Bernie has isn't his socialist stance. It is his appearance. Even though he is 1 year younger than Biden, Bernie looks old and acts old. If you watch closely of him in interviews and debates, you can see him shaking a little like what we would expect in an old person. This is not a good thing.

Biden, the man that said Trump is a good man and Pence is a decent guy.

And nothing about Sanders is extreme. His policies are popular across the board.

Also Biden just sold out Democrats and progressives when he helped campaign for Fred Upton, a republican in a tight race in the 2018 midterms. And why? Because they paid him too.

Joe Biden’s Paid Speech Buoyed the G.O.P. in Midwest Battleground

Joseph R. Biden Jr. swept into Benton Harbor, Mich., three weeks before the November elections, in the midst of his quest to reclaim the Midwest for Democrats. He took the stage at Lake Michigan College as Representative Fred Upton, a long-serving Republican from the area, faced the toughest race of his career.

But Mr. Biden was not there to denounce Mr. Upton. Instead, he was collecting $200,000 from the Economic Club of Southwestern Michigan to address a Republican-leaning audience, according to a speaking contract obtained by The New York Times and interviews with organizers. The group, a business-minded civic organization, is supported in part by an Upton family foundation.

No member of Congress who voted for the war in Iraq or Vietnam was later elected president of the United States.

The last two losing Democratic presidential nominee—John Kerry (2004) and Hillary Clinton (2016)—voted for the war in Iraq.

Joe Biden voted for the war in Iraq.

The losing 2008 Republican presidential nominee, John McCain, voted for the war in Iraq.

Just like John Kerry, John McCain, and Hillary Clinton … Joe Biden will not win an election to become president of the United States.

Not to mention he is pretty much considered the Trump of the Democratic Party.

Thank you. My 'shaking' is hereditary. My hands started shaking over 30 years ago in my 30s. It's considerably worse now. (And it's not Parkinson's.) I can't hold a mug of coffee in my left hand anymore and drink from it without embarrassing myself. Sometimes we 'act' old without having any control over it.

Yeah, though I like him, I think the tremors show that Bernie's best days are behind him. He would've been a good candidate 20 years ago.

I would very much like to see Biden run. He is more of a moderate candidate, which I favor, and I think he can win.

Nope - depends on what the shaking is caused by.

Indeed. As I mentioned above, my shaking hands are hereditary. My mother and her brother had it (Uncle Archie had it really bad). One of my brothers is affected as well, but not as much as I am.

Still, as bad as my hands shake, I can still drink a glass of water with one hand unlike someone we all know and have seen.

I don't care that I sound insensitive about this. You can hate me all you want. People will not vote for someone that shakes like that.

I guess I need to do a little reading on this candidate...

Hmmm...not great character witnesses. A partisan Republican who acted as a thug for President Trump against Michael Cohen and the grand wizard of the KKK... who loves Putin and all autocrats(preferably the white ones).

Tulsi is great on some issues but in her early career was along with her father greatly involved in homophobic activities. Yeah, she learned and evolved but now has a weak spot for autocrats, herself. It's great not to be tied to the establishment but not to be a crackpot, or someone who makes excuses for awful world leaders.

I was trying to explain to you that shaking hands is not necessarily a symptom of old age. And why wouldn't people vote for him? They voted for a man in a wheelchair and another who holds a glass of water with 2 hands.

Of course people will vote for him. He is the most popular pol in the country by far. And with young people in an even larger way.

The same people that tried to use the word "socialist" against him are still trying to find things to scare people with.

I know shaking hands is not necessarily a symptom of old age but we can't escape the fact that that's how many people view it.

We need to be strategic about this. If we go with Bernie, we risk losing the moderates.

Or we could ask basic questions, like "is the shaking benign for the job' before jumping to conclusions. I'm certain moderates can ask basic questions.

What usually happens with members of the populace and politics is 'We hope for the best outcome knowing our politicians will cave on various important sundries in 'quid pro quo like' situations so advancements of any stripe are never as thorough as advertized'. I think that means assuming sweeping change is likely to ride in with flyaway hair would be kind've an inaccuracy of what tends to occur - can't see how the regular lack of effectiveness in the position would scare a moderate just because Bernie's rather liberal.
