Kulin, my main beef is that Bill Clinton is held up by a lot of Democrats as some kind of monolith of economics prudence.
I merely assert that, since he had a significant role in this debacle, that this credit given to him is misplaced to a certain extent.
That's reasonable. If you've ever read an analysis of his budget tricks, you'll find that he may not have had an actual surplus at all -- though OTOH, he had to be close for those tricks to work, and that in itself is commendable.
