ABC cancels "Roseanne" after star's racist tweet

I understand how familiar to the term you must be, by your frequency of both giving and, likely, receiving that particular compliment, but try to view the situation from a civilized man's perspective, unless, of course, you consider your intellect on par with, ahem, Ted Nugent.

Nice try.

You know you had zero problem with Nugent and all the Trumpers calling your nemesis a CUNT.

And if you have a look, I doubt if you would find me clutching my pearls and wagging my finger.

No. What really offends me is when Nugent called for someone to shoot Hillary.

Or when Ivanka helps enable a process that is inhumane and dehumanizing.

Those are things that civilized men are concerned with.

But those things don't even register with you, I'll bet.

The body count the Clintons leave behind is well documented. Google it. Same for their pay for play income. America is lucky she didn't win. But that is not the topic. The topic is the double standard; one for democrats and one for republicans. Dems shit their pants when Rosanne went off the rails but barely blinked when Samantha Bee followed. What a bunch of snivelling hypocrites.

You can’t really be calling people for double standards and hypocrites for the same behaviour you exhibit.

Also the topic was not about double standards, it is about Roseanne, you just attempted to derail for some reason.

And is that meme for you?

Yet you brought it up. Still derailing topics as usual.

You cunts should come to AUS where cunt is a term of endearment.

There's a HUGE difference between being racist and calling someone a name.

Pssssst: Goebbels never said that. It's a made up quote.

But that doesn't necessarily make it sexist even according to Mikey's definition.

It's sexist because it is female anatomy turned into an insult. It's not allowed to be conveniently undefined just because the prevailing winds forgive "bitch" and "cunt" but not racial slurs. That's nothing more than self-serving equivocation, and we can get that from rappers and hip hop, among others, if we need it.

Is there?

rac·ist
ˈrāsəst/Submit
noun
1.
a person who shows or feels discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or who believes that a particular race is superior to another.

sex·ist
ˈseksist/Submit
adjective
1.
relating to or characterized by prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, typically against women, on the basis of sex.

Pssssst: Goebbels never said that. It's a made up quote.

while the quote is not directly attributable to him, it is still more or less an accurate paraphrasing. For more context, here's a larger block of that speech:

"
We learned the consequences of our neglect all too clearly during the World War. While the enemy states produced unprecedented atrocity propaganda aimed at Germany throughout the whole world, we did nothing and were completely defenseless against it. Only when enemy foreign propaganda had nearly won over the greater part even of the neutral states did the German government begin to sense the enormous power of propaganda. It was too late. Just as we were militarily and economically unprepared for the war, so also with propaganda. We lost the war in this area more than in any other. The cleverest trick used in propaganda against Germany during the war was to accuse Germany of what our enemies themselves were doing.

because culture outside of hip-hop... nevermind I can't do it tonight, I'll just let people's silly words speak for themselves. but that's cute, commentary on hip hop culture from someone who couldn't name 5 rappers outside the top ten to save his life.

The quote that you provided is from a speech that he gave in 1934 in that year's Nazi rally in Nuremberg. He's saying that the poor Germans were unfairly accused of atrocities in WWI and that the Allies were the ones who committed the atrocities.

It's propaganda inside a speech about propaganda.

A guideline: if you find yourself quoting (or misquoting) Nazi propaganda in an effort to justify your position, you're probably on the wrong side of an argument.

But it was him, yes? The rest is opinion.

Nope. It's not what he said and after that particular meme went out, scholars in German history had to search to find something close to the quote on the image. Their opinion: he never said what was quoted in the image.... neither in German nor in English. Nein. Nicht niemals.

As the saying goes, "A stopped clock has the correct time twice a day".

Well, skeptics disagrees. It is paraphrased but the gist is exactly the same.
