ABC's "V"

Re: ABC's V

I'm hooked already........and nuts about Scott Wolf too....... ..|

Re: ABC's V

Elizabeth Mitchell is one of a kind! AMAZING!

Re: ABC's V

^ haha I was waiting for you to discover her being in it :)

Re: ABC's V

That Anna "the leader" chick looks effectively, but deceptively, friendly. I expect that she's going to turn into a real bitch later in the series. She's the remake's new Diana from the original.

V always reminds me of this:

Hopefully this remake doesn't deviate from the original story too much. It's ok for new characters and details, but the basic plot needs to be the same.

Re: ABC's V

Loved the show in the 80s , I think they were lizzards or something

Re: ABC's V

i'm looking forward to it!! :)

Re: ABC's V

This seems to sort of Parallel "Earth-Final Conflict" (which I loved too).
The opener was riveting and the plot twists already had me glued to the tv.

Re: ABC's V

Awesome first episode- just enough mystery and suspense, and who doesn't love scifi. Also seeing two characters from Firefly was a nice surprise.

Re: ABC's V

Juliet was my favorite Lost character, so I knew I'd be tuning in to see Elizabeth Mitchell on V.

The fight seen came out of no where (but it was well done). If every episode has the same balance of action and intrigue, then I'll be hooked.

I have to say though...the son is already getting on my nerves!

Re: ABC's V

Am I the only one who thinks it should have been a 2-hour pilot? It was too damn short imo.

P.S. Scott Wolf looks like such a woman.

Re: ABC's V

I've not had the chance to watch it yet - I'm about to watch it in a second, so I shall give you my lowdown once it's finished.

Re: ABC's V

OMG OMG you guys have seen it.
.....................
After seeing your posts I immediately went to ch131.com hoping they had it.
(!)
They did.
I just finished watching it.
Me likee.

I loved the original V and I think the remake is off to a good start. I look forward to the next episode.

Re: ABC's V

It's sooooooooooo good!!!

Aside from the fact that the video I was watching jumped about all over the place, it was the perfect start and I am really annoyed that there is going to be an hiatus.

Elizabeth Mitchell was amazing! As always.

Re: ABC's V

Yea the whole political thing really can be compared to any similar political movement. It more closely resembles Nazi Germany recruiting young people much like Hitler Youth. A lot of the political stuff is directly from the old series which came out when Obama was a teenager. This is just nonsense for Obama critics to latch onto for some silly reason.

Anyways, Elizabeth Mitchell is great but I keep referring to her as Juliet.

Yes, anyone who has seen the original will know the comparison is to the Nazis. Even the Visitor logo in the original was similar to the swastika. However there are most definitely current time themes in the remake. Sleeper terrorist cells for example.

I don't have a problem with making it more contemporary. But I don't thing the writers were drawing a bow to the Obama administration.

Re: ABC's V

It was pretty decent. I liked the new twist with how the visitors have already been secretly on earth for awhile preparing for their "arrival". The story advances a bit too fast though; they are having to cram too much in only one hour.
