His talent still has to be tested - he has no hit music behind him, this idiot is walking red carpets next to music legends. WTF? Show some fucking respect. Please don't show up at the Grammy's if you are not nominated yet - you haven't even come close to have the respect to drag your ass there.

It's not all about being known or commercially successful. I'm sure people like Bob Mould are much happier/fulfilled than people like Adam Lambert -- simply because he can do pretty much whatever he wants, as opposed to being the world's token homo puppet in exchange for 15 minutes of fame.
No, most people aren't familiar with his name and he's not swimming in money, but that's not the point when it comes to being a genuine/true artist.

The arguments in this thread are framed in this "Adam is a huge star and the album will sell well so he's the best" context and I was talking about how mainstream gay artists all have to be freaks.. he non-freak types are the Bob Moulds and the Eric Himans who have talent and a fan base but are too "normal" for the straights to feel comfortable with.

Yeah, he is. His bands Huker Du, Sugar, and his solo tunes were/are big on college/alternative radio. He's definitely not Top 40 but is openly gay, not a queen, and has had major label support.
