I'm sorry your innocence has been shattered. My ears have thus far been spared.
I wish I could say the same about "Call me, maybe", "Friday". Those aural holocausts still haunt my mind.
Just so you know...the earth is not flat. Just sayin'![]()
If you didn't, you should at least watch the video - it's absolutely hilarious, and the main source of popularity for the whole phenomena. The song itself is nothing to write home about.

This past weekend b/f and I went to this halloween party. The usual with some people dancing and some people drinking, talking, etc. B/f and I was on the dance floor most of the night.
Anyway, as soon as this song started playing, which I never heard before, I was stunt to observe almost everyone at the party just got up and danced to the music. Never saw that before.
I later asked this girl about it, and she was surprised that I never heard of psy gangnum style.
The following day I looked it up and holy cow apparently this song has now become the most popular song in the world history of songs. It's been the #1 hit single in 33 countries for a month. Even the UN has declared it the closest thing to world united.
How did I completely miss this? Anyone else just as clueless as I was?
Well, a lot of other stupid videos now make sense. (There's a commercial running on TV at the moment featuring it. I think it takes place on a football field.) But I agree with a few of the comments above. It's a fad and will be a one-hit wonder, just like The Macarena and A Little Bit of Monica.
It is the equivalent of a meme.
