And yet, these bigots never boycott Las Vegas (or any of the major corporations that have holdings there), a city that prides itself on being a bastion for Sin.

Hypocritical fucktards.

Email of support sent to The Home Depot. Thanks for the heads up about this.

I really enjoy my visits to Home Depot. All those hot workin' men in tight Levis and tool belts! (!)

Seriously, doesn't the AFA have something better to do, like hoist George Reker's bags?

That's the spirit!..|The AFA won't rest til every one is as miserably dysfunctional as the folks who tend to make up their membership!

Home Depot has to support the gay community... if they didn't all the lesbians would go elsewhere and they would lose over half their annual revenue.

I kid of course... I think that finding out that Home Depot is a supporter of our community is great and those hypocrites in the AFA will accomplish nothing as more and more of their members get outted and their lies are shredded

It will be interesting to learn why Home Depot supports the GLBT community.
Someone in the upper echelons of the company who is gay?
Clientele demography?
Sheer goodwill?

Thanx for the post!!! i send a letter of gratitude to HD and a piece of my mind to AFA too. They want to rub there nastiness in my face, theyre getting it right back!!!

Home Depot also signed on as a vendor, conducting kid's craft workshops for children in the midst of loud and boisterous gay activities.

Ooo !

Loud and boisterous gay activities are the best kind !

Did you check the founders pic in the upper right hand corner ? Mr. Wildmon... I'm betting you have a little secret....

Isn't it funny/sick how they try to make it sound so utterly lurid? Like people are bringing their kids to a fucking orgy or something.

It is a family-friendly parade. I know lots of straight couples who bring their kids. It is fun!

"I find the thought of gay sex so repulsive that I think about it most every day...."

Just one more reason to shop Home Depot and boycott American Family Association.

My partner and I bought a new house a few months back, and have spent avbout ten thousand dollars for paint, flooring, appliances, lighting, tile, hardiboard, tile, and you name it.

My brother works for HD, and has for 20 years. He supports us, and we support a great Amercian company.

By the way, HD also has a wonderful "slush fund" for families who have a loved one suffering with cancer.

Home Depot all the way.

Wow. I didn't realize that...

That's good to hear....

This is a voluntary "pay-in" system.

Several people I personally know have benefited from this program.

HD doesn't do everything right (no company does), but I really enjoy shopping at the store near me. Most of the staff is really eager to help.

It's amazing people can still believe that kind of propaganda here in 2010. I shall now make a more conscientious effort to patronize Home Depot.

The slush fund they have (which employees can opt into, and I'd say probably about 90% do) can be used for more than just family with cancer. It's used for all kinds of things; funeral arrangements for employees and their families, long term illnesses, even someone just behind on their bills. How it works is the employee puts in an application for a "grant" and if approved by corporate they then ask their store employees to put in more if they so desire. Then the "fund" doubles the extra put in.

Anyway it's a great program.

I work for Home Depot and was shocked how pro gay they are, when I started. Sexual-orientation discrimination is protected in the handbook just like race, sex, age etc.

Someone above said that no company gets it ALL right, but I would agree that Home Depot is doing a pretty damn good job.
