American Family Association Going After Home Depot For Supporting the GLBT Community

The Home Depot near me is smaller than a nearby Lowe's

I've been going there because they have a larger selection.
But, I think I need to shop at HD more and support them.

I did buy bathroom fixtures there last Dec for a remodel...they were cheaper than Lowe's.

And why do these idiots always cloak themselves in some title that has both "American" and "family" ?

After all, them evil homo's are obviously un american and could never be part of a family...

I'm telling you, that old guy has about 2 terabytes of gay porn at home.

YEAH!!!

Latest letter from the AFA

For several years, The Home Depot has given its financial and corporate support to open displays of homosexual activism on main streets in America's towns. And, it says it will continue to do so!

"At the end of the day here, we're not going to...forbid our associates to be involved in these pride festivals in any way." - Stephen Holmes, company spokesman. (Note: The associates participating in these parades were clearly doing so as representatives of the company.)

Rejecting several requests by AFA to remain neutral in the culture war, The Home Depot has chosen to sponsor and participate in numerous gay pride parades and festivals. Most grievous is The Home Depot's deliberately exposing small children to lascivious displays of sexual conduct by homosexuals and cross-dressers, which are a common occurrence at these events.

The goal of every homosexual organization supported by The Home Depot is to get homosexual marriage legalized. BoycottTheHomeDepot provides just a glimpse of how broad its support for the homosexual movement is. The Home Depot says it is committed to furthering the homosexual agenda.
"The bottom line is, it (remaining neutral) just runs counter to our inclusive culture...and that's where we stand." - Stephen Holmes, company spokesman.

See it for yourself. Photos at BoycottTheHomeDepot.com, taken during recent homosexual events sponsored by The Home Depot, show:
Children being encouraged to visit gay sex websites.
Employees using company property to push gay marriage.
The Home Depot employees riding and marching in homosexual parades.

TAKE ACTION
1. Sign the Boycott Pledge at BoycottTheHomeDepot.com.
2. Call your local store manager. Let him know that you will not be shopping in his store until the company stops supporting the homosexual agenda. You can find his number here. (click "Store Finder").
3. Print the paper petition and distribute it at Sunday School and church.
4. Extremely important! Post this alert to your facebook page (link above) and encourage others to join the boycott!
It is very important that you forward this alert to your friends and family members.

Sincerely,

Tim Wildmon, President
American Family Association

^ Yes, they do ... even when Pride isn't parading, it's always a treat to go to the Home Depot near me. I don't know why, but that place is simply crawling with smoldering hotties! :D

I sent Home Depot a "thank you" email for supporting the GLBT community.

The AFA is making it sound as if Home Depot is taking random peoples kids off the street and forcing them to do these craft workshops.

These craft workshops are (I'm assuming) at Gay Pride Parades, so wouldn't the only kids going be kids of people who are in support of the GLBT community?

And why do these idiots always cloak themselves in some title that has both "American" and "family" ?

Ain't it the truth. And props to Home Depot for doing what's right here, and supporting our cause - right-wing "family" groups' 2-bit opinions be damned.

After all, them evil homo's are obviously un american and could never be part of a family...

I know, right?! This going to be off the subject a bit, but bear with me. I once saw this guy on a Current Channel pod clip. He was against same-sex marriage, and was explaining in itemized-list form his reasons why. It downright pissed me off when he got to the part how two people of the same gender who wanted to be parents had to adopt, because they couldn't have kids of their own that were direct offspring of both parents, like a hetero couple. He said that adopting was "faking a family". Nevermind the obvious spit-in-the-face insult that is to us gay people who either are now, or would like to be parents some day. But to me, that is a HUGE insult to every hetero couple out there who has ever adopted a child (whether by necessity - because they couldn't physically have kids of their own, or by choice - because they simply wanted to adopt).

These idiots clearly not thinking before they speak really illustrates one of my personal mottos and life principles: "Common sense isn't common, anymore." :help:

I'm telling you, that old guy has about 2 terabytes of gay porn at home.

I'm glad I'm not the only one whose BS Detector picks up on the potential closet-case this guy comes across to be.

AFA is sending out more email blasts to boycott Home Depot:

The Home Depot's own website shows it embraces the spread of homosexuality, including gay marriage.

They make it sound like we are some kind of disease or something that you can catch.

On its website, The Home Depot states it "is honored to say we support the following diversity-oriented organizations:" It goes on to list at least three groups which radically support the homosexual marriage agenda in America - The Human Rights Campaign, Out and Equal Workplace Advocates and Diversity Best Practices.
That's not all!
The Home Depot sanctions its very own homosexual employee group, which receives financial backing by the company, The Home Depot Pride https://careers.homedepot.com/cg/content.do?p=diversity (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender) employee group. The Home Depot marches in numerous gay pride parades and sets up Kids Workshops at gay pride festival events each year (more photos and list of events are available at boycottthehomedepot.com).
And there is more...
The Home Depot responded to an annual survey by the Human Rights Campaign. Here's what the company offers:
- Full health insurance benefits to homosexual employees and "partners." The Home Depot recognizes two homosexual men who sleep together as "married."
- Insurance for complete sex-change operations.
- Requires some employees to attend diversity (homosexual acceptance) training.
TAKE ACTION

I have been working at the Home Depot for 2 years now, and I have to say that it is an incredibly amazing company. Never have I worked around a group of people I feel so comfortable around. The policies and programs are way ahead of any other place I have ever worked. Home Depot gets my thanks everyday.

"To this end, Home Depot is basically encouraging the attendance of children at events which openly expose them to transvestites, cross-dressers, and homosexual activists." Well, fuck-a-duck - really? These AFA folk sound as though they were last in line when brains were being handed out.

I've never heard of them but they sound as loopy and pointless as Australia's "Family First" political party, which is full of idiots.

And I just love that phrase: "homosexual activists". Oooh - take me now!

Oh gesh....the hate group, AFA, have 500,000 that have pledged to boycott Home Depot for supporting the GLBT community

Boycott growing: 500,000 pledge to boycott The Home Depot

Over one-half million people have signed a pledge to boycott The Home Depot until it agrees to remain neutral in the culture and political war over homosexual marriage.
As a financial backer, The Home Depot has stated it "is proud to support" the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) effort to force the legalization of homosexual marriage across America.
In a February 17, 2011 announcement, HRC notes that it most recently:
- Helped gather support for marriage equality bill in Maryland;
- Sponsored Marriage Equality Day in Albany, New York;
- Pushed for final passage of Hawaii civil unions bill;
- Stood up to Christian-owned Chick-fil-A for supporting a traditional marriage seminar;
- Fought a constitutional amendment that would ban same-sex couples from marrying in Wyoming
The Home Depot's support made all of these things possible. That's because The Home Depot is taking profits made from your purchases to push the homosexual agenda.
Join over 500,000 people who have signed the boycott pledge! AFA will personally deliver the boycott pledges to The Home Depot's board of directors.

I don't believe for a minute that AFA has five hundred thousand members, certainly not that many who can write their own names. Let's see all five hundred thousand signatures, notarized and all like a proper petition.

But let them keep spouting... the more they do, and the more scandals they get caught in, the less people will pay attention to them or anybody who sounds like them.

Besides, boycotts never work. How many homos do you know still shop at WalMart and drink RockStar? I am sad to say I know puhlenty.

Little story about the AFA.

I worked at a CBS affiliate went the Janet Jackson incident happened. I arrived at work the next day to find over 800 emails complaining.

Almost all of them were from 4 websites all operated by the AFA. It seems if you signed on one website it automatically signed your name on the other three as well.

So, any number you hear the AFA give out - divide it by 4.
Then you'll be closer to the real number.

Bunch of jerkwads.

I'll send Mr. Frank a very nice and short fax tomorrow when I arrive to work.

This should be their new employee shirt.

(not really, but its funny)

I remember Michelle Malkin writing a scathing column about how awful gays and lesbian were for targeting Chick-Fil-A for a boycott.
But as usual with the Republician Reich, not a peep when their side does it.

I don't think those particular festivals were particularly raunchy... but they do kind of have a point.

The pride parades I've been to (both in Portland, OR) were pretty damn raunchy and extravagant. I only went a second time because my friends were all going and I didn't want to be left alone all weekend... but honestly, I really dislike the kind of attitude those parades give off. It's not "we're gay, and proud," it has to be "we're gay, and proud, and so we're going to parade around mostly nude and practically have sex in the streets."

Eh, not my cup of tea, and I can see why people would be cautious about bringing children (however, that's no reason to boycott a company, especially in this particular case of a REAL gay pride festival, rather than a sex-parade).

lol....The AFA is trying to encourage people to support their boycott by haivng them watch this clip of Home Depot at a pride festival:
