American Idol: Season 10

Based on Jimmy Iotool's opening statements, I'm already hoping for a shocking Scotty elimination. Just like when he said "Casey will be safe, Jacob is in trouble" on the week that the very opposite was true.

Oh cool, a movie trailer. Because there's just not enough pointless filler on the results show. *mutes TV*
 
First Jimmy and now that dumbass girl in the audience. Either they're just padding the Scotty = winner narrative or they're really setting us up for a shocking elimination.

This show never does suspense well so I'm assuming it's the former.
 
Lady, if you're dedicating a day to someone, you should probably pronounce their name correctly. Who the hell is Haley RAIN hart?
 
Who is this ho on the idol stage? Has there EVER been a good performance by a pop star on this show?
 
Wow, somebody FINALLY gave Lauren some halfway decent clothes to wear during a live show. #miracle
 
This is always the worst result show. I mean they're all filler, but at least with the others they name a Bottom Two/Bottom Three contender early in the show to stagger the drama.

Why don't they at least tell us who ONE of the finalists will be early in the show and play every beat, rather than cramming everything into the last five minutes of the show? Imagine if they said Haley was safe* and we had to watch Lauren blubber uncontrollably for the rest of the show? I know I'd be entertained!

Lauren and Scotty are definitely getting the more "heartfelt" videos which means they're probably F2.

I enjoyed Haley rolling her eyes at that shit with me.

Oh well, it's been a not-so-fun season (wouldn't have been able to make it through without you guys) but like I said before, Haley did better than I thought she would. So good for her.

I won't be watching the final performances because I don't like either of these two soulless underaged honky tonks, but I'll check in for the last five minutes of the final show to see Lauren Alaina FINALLY get one-upped. I need that.
 
Wow, Haley had gotten one inflated ego based on that reaction.

Not that it would be false. The judges pumped the underdog vote over to Lauren.

I think I'll avoid this place next week...I can't see the conversation being worthwhile.
 
I'll watch the results show to see all of my favorites perform again (i.e. Haley, Casey, Naima, Paul) but I'm not watching the American Country Idol performance show next week. Biggest Loser's finale it is.

Exactly how I feel.

I thought AI 9 was the worst, but this is officially the worst season for me. And not just because Haley didn't make it. Certainly there have been seasons where my favorite didn't make it to the finals (like Melinda DooLittle) but in every other season at least ONE of the final 2 was worthy.

For my money, neither Scotty nor Alaina are interesting or even very good singers and the latter hasn't had a single "moment" or performance I remember all season long.

Imagine this in the voice of Comic Book Guy: "Worst. Season. Ever."
 
AI9 is still my least favorite, followed by AI7. AI10 has a final two that I don't particularly like, but the rest of the finalists all kept me interested throughout the rest of the season. Though, like I've said, I'm the Worster of this thread and therefore my standards are different from somebody who wants good singing. But hey, at least we had Haley, who is the rare example of a good singer who is also VFTW-approved for being growly, stoned and irreverent.
