Yeah, the whole thing is so weird. He's there to judge to the judging? Lord knows they need it, but in the end he's just a twitchy dick with an agenda. Example: Kree did an awful Janis, and yet he sucked her ass.

That said, I do pay attention to his critiques. Everyone else, with the exception of Nicki, I just mostly FFWD.

Also, Amber and Janelle were so boring tonight that I won't even care that much when Lazaro inevitably takes one of them out tomorrow night. I just hope the judges don't waste the save and keep it instead for Kree or Candice (should they need it). Angie still feels massively over-hyped to me. Even Janelle has given a couple of performances on the live shows I enjoyed whereas Angie was good that one time she did her original song in Hollywood Week but hasn't given me anything to rewatch obsessively since then.

If I had my pick, Candice and Kree would be the F2 but it's most likely going to be Angie and Kree.

I was so embarrassed for poor Lazaro. His first song has to be the worst ever on idol, including auditions. It was awful and the second song wasn't much better. He could not get himself on key.

Yes Candice did what few before her could ever do. She nailed the song so brilliantly. That was so good I am going to buy it.

I liked Janelle and Kree's second song. The whole first half of the show was a snooozzzzzzzzzzzzzzze fest. I just don't like Kree that much personality wise nor her lifestyle dirt biking, hunter, tractor driving horseshit. She has a very good talent but she leaves me as cold as summer gazpacho.

I hope the vote is merciful and Lazaro goes home. He has become a bad clone of himself. He shouldn't have to stand there with his sweaty brow and jittering balls listening to people trying not to hurt his feelings.

He's the only guy left, he's the VFTW pick, and he's not not cute. He's def surviving tomorrow night.

If Lazaro could make Top 3 last week, I have no doubt he's going to last longer than Amber and Janelle. The question is whether that coalition of votes is enough to give us the first "shocking" elimination in Kree/Candice/Angie, thereby putting Lazaro in the Top 3.

Hahahaha, the performance and proceeding massacre against Lazaro was hilarious. It almost makes me wish I were actually still following this season... k, not really, but Mariah babbling on for like five hours about what a key change is was too much, followed by Nicki having absolutely none of it. I actually hope Lazaro goes far just for the lulz factor from the meltdowns.

I'd really like to know how the Lazzies in this thread defend tonight's performance which was abysmal even by Lazaro's terribly low standard.

Like I said a few weeks ago, even Sanjaya was better/more entertaining than this.

This season is really NO DIFFERENT than seasons past. Always the same bullshit about overhyped "should win" singers. Take last year's Joshua as an example. Very talented but no way in hell was he America's idol. When I think of an idol I think of someone who can sell lots of records AND sell out a large concert venue. Candice is talented but no way will she sell out concert venues. She's this year's Joshua. The judges will commend her performances to the ends of the earth, and she'll get standing ovation'ed from here on out, but she ain't no idol.

I recently found an article that states that Angie has far and away the most followers on Facebook and Twitter. No other contestant comes close. She's the most likely to win the competition. I see the final show as being between Angie and Kree, not because I care for either one - I don't vote - but because that's the most likely outcome. But, as usual the judges will try to gulit-trip America into putting one of the other contestants - Candice - in there instead. As I said, this season's no different than what we've seen before.

I am glad Lazzy went with a flippant swag. I knew there would be no save and now I think the save is done. Am I mistaken? I thought it was up until the final 5. But the way the talent was selected was such a 'this is gonna be a girl show or else' with the selected guys mostly just average at best.

Whether Candice is a great audience draw to stadiums doesn't mean anything to me. The sell for me is the music I can listen to every day and I loved her last song last night so much that I bought it and it is even better, if that is possible. If the vote was on singing quality, making a good song great, and getting to the soul of a song then it should be Candice. Hands down for me.

I'm totally with you on this. BOTH of Candice's performances this week were amazing and with them, she has already placed herself in the same company as Melinda Doolittle, Adam Lambert, Haley Reinhart and Jessica Sanchez i.e. the best singers who never won their seasons (I'm just assuming the F2 will be Kree and Angie, right?)

And not going to really go at it about how Candice doesn't have potential to sell out studios, but what about Jennifer Hudson? I didn't really care much about her, or Idol for that matter, and then I saw Dream Girls and I was like WHO IS THIS WOMAN?! I'm rooting for Angie, but if its one thing she has it's just an image. Girl can sing but I can already foresee her management team sending her in a "Britney/Miley Cyrus/Ke$ha" direction.
