Until you step into my shoes.. you have no reason to criticize me for thinking someone is racist. I live in the South... I know all about racism and discrimination.

My only complaint/concern was his motive... He is constantly bashing and making fun of her. So I want to know his real motive. Because I'm not like you.. I don't think everyone is very innocent when it comes to "race". I will always have an open eye!

Not sure how the original poster meant it, but I read it differently.

Yes, she looks like a thirsty platypus. But I'd like to smack her because she seems to be playing up her insincere "You think I'm THAT good?!" expressions. I mean really, you can't be that good and not know it.

She's easily the best singer and performer on the AI stage. Should probably win the competition this year. To me, though, I think she comes across as playing up the surprised humility look far too much, to the point it looks unrealistic.

Then I saw the Melinda Doolittle School of Humility video and realized I wasn't the only one who got that impression.

Although I'm sure it's been linked to in this thread, here it is anyway.

BTW, am I the only one who doesn't think Sanjaya's voice is horrible? I think he's got a very good tone, just seems kinda hesitant when he sings. I think he'd have a lot more support from the judges if it weren't for the lady-boy ambiance that he exudes.

i totally agree with hot tamales. I believe Linda(since we're so close) is going on with this whole innocent appeal. I also think she might be the most talenated person on the show, however, she reminds me of the blue people from timemachine. She just doesnt not have the visual appeal...like my girl Haley does.

Next week being J-Lo themed (or Latin themed,not sure what her stint here means) is rather odd,pointless.Fake,forced Latin style performances,or the performance of the limited J-Lo collection...make more sense to have Paula Abdul night!#-o

I think that it is pointless doing Latin week,standards however boring some may think of them(I love them,though) can demonstrate pure vocal ability,the talent to really work every nuance of the song...making it your own and performing like you're almost telling a story.What does performing Latin themed songs have any relevance to what American Idol is looking for...American pop?What are they thinking?Nothing at all against the Latin market,just this seems incredibly wobbly thinking stunt inspired.It might work,but doesn't make sense as of now...and JLo is not anywhere near the highest standard in Latin recordsing talent by a long shot.....her hubby Marc Anthony is a FAR superior musical talent.

Ok, Chris Richardson is probably my favorite this season. I will admit that some of his performances have been a little shaky and his voice is something you have to have an acquired taste for. However, he is an AMAZING recording artist. His voice was made for the studio, check out some of his MP3 recordings of his song choices on idol.

it only sold 50,000 copies and debuted at Number 10 on the charts :eek:

I wouldn't be surprised if she demanded each Idol to sing a selection from the new album LOL!
