The guys were much better than last week. The only one who I felt was truly not good was Sanjaya, for a second week in a row. I don't think he'll go home though because I think he has the teen girl vote locked. I can see him being the guy that goes way farther than he should in the competition. There's one of those every year. Sundance and Chris R. were both GOOD but I thought the praise was a bit over the top. They weren't fantastic IMO. Brandon was disappointing just because he has one of the best voices but chose to sing a song that doesn't showcase vocals at all and I think will get eliminated because of it. I'm starting to really like AJ. At this point, I think both of the Chrises, Blake and Sundance (due to support from votefortheworst and a pre-show fanbase) are a sure thing for the top six. It's just those last two spots that I'm uncertain of. If he doesn't get eliminated this week after that performance, then Sanjaya I think is a shoo-in as well and then the last spot is a question mark.

Chris was SOOOOOOO Good tonight! He took my favorite Jason Mraz song and he made it his own. I also loved Blake and Sundance's performance. I really didn't think Sundance can sing until now.

He wasn't all THAT. But it was good..

I was disappointed in Brandon though.. he has a very good look and a very very good voice. Truly disappointed.

Everybody's predicting Nick Pedro won't make it this week, which I'm kind of nervous for when I believe he's clearly on a better path to improving than a few others in the competition. I think he should at least make the top 12. I thought he did a good job with "Fever" last night, which I think was just as good as Buble, vocally speaking. He emoted.

Although hearing Mraz on Idol was a highlight! Thanks for that, Chris! Now if he can work in some John Mayer, too...

The boys finally got their acts together this week and have put last Tuesday's shameful performances behind them.

My thoughts on the guys:

01 (Phil Stacey)- I didn't see his performance, but I'm not particularly a fan of him.
PREDICTION: He won't be in the bottom 2.

02 (Jared Cotter)- Good; I liked his performance of "Sexual Healing."
PREDICTION: He won't be in the bottom 2.

03 (AJ Tabaldo)- While the judges liked him, I wasn't feelin' the performance; it was "eh" for me
PREDICTION: He won't be in the bottom 2.

04 (Sanjaya)- Poor, poor Sanjaya. He definitely separated himself from the rest and did something different.
PREDICTION: He WILL be in the bottom 2.

05 (Chris Sligh)- He was REALLY good. I liked the song selection and his wife is HOT!
PREDICTION: He won't be in the bottom 2.

06 (Nick Pedro)- I thought it was an OK song with an execution I wasn't feeling.
PREDICTION: He won't be in the bottom 2.

07 (Blake Lewis)- He's definitely energetic and entertaining. I think he and Chris Richardson (09) could be the next Idol image that American Idol could go for and I wouldn't complain.
PREDICTION: He won't be in the bottom 2.

08 (Brandon)- "Time After Time" was weird for me. While everyone was trying to step up their game, he focused solely on his dedication. Simon was right. Brandon should have realized that he could be meaningful and still compete.
PREDICTION: He WILL be in the bottom 2.

09 (Chris Richardson)- The Jason Mraz song was a great way to go. See #7 for "image" comments.
PREDICTION: He won't be in the bottom 2.

10 (Sundance)- He made the right move to end with such a fun-filled song.
PREDICTION: He won't be in the bottom 2.

If I had to pick a swing vote for a possible bottom 2, the "Vote for Pedro" routine may not save Nick this week. Either him or AJ. We'll see.

Side note- Paula didn't look drunk or crazy this week. Yay, Paula!

I thought the girls were somewhat good. I didn't see the first two, but here are my thoughts on the rest...

03 (Lakisha)- She has so much natural talent; AMAZING
PREDICTION: She won't be in the bottom 2.

04 (Melinda)- She has such a warm voice; a natural as well. PHENOMINAL
PREDICTION: She won't be in the bottom 2.

05 (Antonella)- She sounded hollow even though she was better than last week. Just OK for me.
PREDICTION: She WILL be in the bottom 2.

06 (Jordin)- I love "Reflection" and thought it fit her well. She has a wonderful range. She went big with Christina but didn't pick an outrageous Christina song. Good call.
PREDICTION: She won't be in the bottom 2.

07 (Stephanie)- I liked her singing "Dangerously in Love." It felt like I was listening to Beyonce sing it. To me, that's a GOOD thing.
PREDICTION: She won't be in the bottom 2.

08 (Leslie)- She's good, definitely talented. She just feels weird to me.
PREDICTION: She won't be in the bottom 2.

09 (Haley)- Even though she was spunky with the song, I didn't feel like her total self was in it. Plus, the song choice was bad; it didn't allow her to showcase her voice. As Simon put it, she's "one out of two or three run-of-the-mill girls tonight."
PREDICTION: She won't be in the bottom 2.

10 (Sabrina)- I felt like she was yelling in parts of her performance. I'm glad Simon pointed it out. As I was watching her, all I could think was "I see her end in sight." She may be around until the Top 12, but her time is limited.
PREDICTION: She won't be in the bottom 2.

Based on the recaps at the end, the first contestant seemed ok...the second went with a song that relied on a lot of background sound and she picked an ensemble song to sing solo.

Bottom 2- Contestant #2 and Antonella. Swing votes- Leslie or Haley.

1-Melinda(My Funny Valentine)-OUT OF THIS FUCKING WORLD! First TOUCHDOWN of the season! 10/10
2-Lakisa(Midnight Train To Georgia)-In my opinion so much better than last week's performance! Vocally on point! 9/10
3-Stephanie(Dangerously In Love)-Damn girl stole my song! Great vocals! Kinda Beyonce-ish but really good! 8.9/10
4-Jordin(Reflection)-Kinda high school musical-ish but I liked it! 8.5/10
5-Sabrina(All the Man I Need)-I happen to love love love this song and I thought it was just ok! It had some power but it was kinda too big for her voice! 8/10
6-Gina(Alone)-I officially am not a fan! She gives up this attitude that annoys me to no end! No way near as good as Carrie's amazing performance. Ok. 7/10
7-Hayley(Queen Of the Night)-A for effort. Vocals are just not there! Sorry 6/10
8-Leslie(A New Day or something)-I happen to be a fan of her voice and this was a horrible song choice! Started out ok..but ended horribly! 6/10
9-Alaina(Not Ready To Make Nice)-Started out brilliantly! And completely lost her gas towards the end! 5.5/10
10. Antonella(Because You Loved Me)-The only good thing about this performance was the one note towards the end! The girl needs to go! 1/10

I couldn't resist in pointing out the hypocrisy. He thinks a person can say the N word with impunity and not be classified as a racist while at the same time an idol contestant went to a intolerant school and he automatically is a bigot... you know guilt by association .

That's some top notch logic there.

Funny part is that it's not just me pointing out how wrong he is. I'm not the one throwing a hissy fit like a true queen.

PS: I never PM'd anyone for "help". The moderators can check my PMs and any other posters like Muscle4daze, Rigr33, Pisces_ken or the others in the original thread that were trying to get it through to Surge how backwards his argument was. I don't care who agrees with Lostloser, I've already stated in the first response about it that this thread is NOT the place to talk about it and there's already a whole thread devoted to Real World and a discussion there. Anyone want to debate, go to that thread.

Me and Lostloser had that discussion 4 months ago and he still follows me around thread to thread, whining about that same topic, even after I said not to respond to my threads and posts. He's obsessed with Davis from the Real World and won't get over an episode from Real World. It wasn't that big, no one died or anything, All the room mates made up and are close friends. They've gotten over the event in about a day but Lostloser is still crying about it, it's pathetic. I got tired of debating about the topic in every single thread so I put him on ignore.

I saw that episode, and also debated in that thread. If anyone thinks Davis isn't a racist then you have serious problems(I'm sure the roommates know that as well behind the scenes). If you think it is ok for someone to use the "N" word to hurt someone..you need help. Because I think you may have "racial" issues of your own.

So is it ok for the KKK to use the "N" word. Davis used it in the same exact matter that the KKK does or any racist person would have... What excuses Davis from using the word and not be called a racist?? Because he's gay..??

After reviewing this thread... Lost was only comparing two issues it seems to me. He was only driving a point to show how hypocritical you may be. I guess he remembered the past thread back last year.. where you defended Davis for using it, and made excuses for him. You never make excuses for someone who uses that word. For me to forgive Davis will take a very long time. I can't even watch the show without thinking about the word he used. He used it in a very negative way..

Now I don't think you are racist(I hope not), I think you just don't know how "sensitive" and historic that word is toward blacks and others who find that word offensive. The "N" word is just a hateful word and shouldn't EVER be used in any situation. I don't care how angry you are, the word is just forbidden. I can tolerate hateful words, but that is one that I just can't look past...
