Its going to be a girl.. there is no doubt about that.
Fantasia was horrible(they passed Jennifer Hudson for her??).. Where they trying to make black singers look bad or something when they crown her as champ?? LOL
My burning question is... When are they going to crown a real African American male as AI champ that can actually sing and make a hit record?? Ruben was terrible as well...no one purchased his damn record in high numbers. Well he did sell better than Taylor
IMO it seems to me those that get voted off early on or later... are the ones that truly make it in the real music world.

I like Lakisha but I think Melinda derserves it more. Melinda is just something different to me... so far her performances were just astonishing.
And Taylor probably won because of Vote for the worst crap or something. He's mediocre.... I mean look at Antonella and Sanjaya who are obviously crappy...they're still there...VFTW is making them stay there.

it's called the pity vote. people pity sanjaya, and feel sorry for him, so they vote for him believing that's the right thing to do, when they should be putting him out of our misery.

God I am dreading having to hear Sanjaya and Antonella next week. I hope that they fall flat on their faces again. Two weeks in a row they have had poor performances. They can't sing well...quit voting for them!!!

I think Sanjaya won because of the girls' votes. As I mentioned before, in the previous week, Ryan said that he had the 4th highest votes among the male contestants. I don't think pity votes can get a person that high.

I think Kelly and Carrie are the two who really live up to the title American Idols. However, look at the Billboard Top 200 Albums now. Daughtry is making a good impression now.
Anyway, I do like Lakisha. But I kinda prefer the other lady. What's her name? The one who seems humble - name starts with M?

Love or hate VFTW, they had 3 million hits at their site this week and Barba was 2nd on dialidol last week and 3rd this week. I do think their influence decreases as the number of contestants shrinks. They thought Sundance was too good this week, so they're going to think about supporting Sanjaya next week (who already has the young girl/grandmom votes because they think of him as cute in a nonthreatening way.) And Sanjaya was 3rd on dialidol last week and pretty high up on the list this week.

Last week I was all for Lakisha ( and I did like her version of And I Am Telling You better than Hudson's, but not as much as Holiday's), but Melinda has won me over this week. My Funny Valentine is one of my 3 or 4 favorite songs and she nailed it. I think it was the best AI performance ever.

LaKisha Jones reminds me of Mandissa from last season. I like her but i have a feeling she might go downhill from here. I think the judges were right when they said she set the bar too high a few weeks ago.
