Anya deserves to win, she is by far the best contestant this cycle and probably one of the best in ANTM history.

Whitney obviously does not deserve to win, she pretty much sucks but the judges (mostly Nigel) seem to love her.

I wouldn't mind Fatima winning although it seems like a longshot since Whitney is a contestant and the fact she's black.

So far my elimination prediction was correct. Let's see if Fatima goes third. I have a feeling she will, since the bitchy one each cycle tends to go third (Bre, Renee, Keenyah, Jade, etc.).

not to fret - there are rumors that fatima might win, but she'd be battling alot of odds. they'd have to develop a redemption arc for her because the judges just called her out on being a snippy bitch (which she's been).

it wouldn't be unprecedented for 2 african american antms in a row. technically c3 and c4 were back-to-back african american wins (although naima was half black).

dominique definitely handled her elimination with class, and i agree with xenrai - her attitude is pretty damn amazing. even in defeat, she's able to find something positive to say.

3 things i noticed, though, that would still support a whitney-win:

1) no international go-sees
not since cycle 3 have they gone without int'l go-sees. but even in cycle 3, they had those "Milk" go-sees in Tokyo, that eva ended up winning.

and i don't think the go-sees that they had in ny this cycle count because they were team go-sees.

why no individual go-sees, i asked myself? ...

could it be because none of the "alta moda" italian designers cast plus-sized girls and therefore would only have sample sizes that whitney could never fit into?

if they had the go-sees with designers in rome, i'm pretty sure whitney would not get booked at all and therefore would've been given the boot.

so the fact that they haven't had go-sees this season suggests they might be catering to the plussie.

2) whitney's STILL here.

anna nicole should've gone home last week. the judges (ie, nigel and tyra) keep pulling shit out of their asses to make her seem like a better candidate to win the show.

they did the same with cuntleisha last season, and we know how that story ended.

3) whitney won cover girl of the week. wtf?! maybe it was rigged, maybe not. but it would be just another way for them to bolster a whitney win if that does happen.

after seeing the previews for next week, though, there's a glimmer of hope that tyra & co. are yanking our chains with this whitney bullshit this season just so that they can redeem themselves from the horror of cycle 9.

the biggest evidence in support of that is the runway show.

from the previews, it seems that they pulled in a major, big name italian designer for the runway show. salvatore ferragamo, for instance, has been thrown around in the rumor-mill.

plus, the runway show looked like it was at the galleria vittorio emanuele, which is in Milan. and Milan is like FASHION CENTRAL, which - along with paris and new york is essentially a mecca for fashion-lovers.

i highly doubt a high fashion italian designer like ferragamo would consent to allowing a plussie in one of his/her shows in Milan. that would be blasphemous in the fashion world.

so in other words, this could all be some ploy by tyrant to make us think we're getting another bullshit winner (whitney), when in fact they crown either fatima or anya -

at which point, tyra will have redeemed herself from cuntleisha's heinous win last cycle.

ideally, here's how i'd call it:
3. whitney
2. fatima
1. anya

but - given how tyra totally bitch-slapped us last season with cuntleisha and given the capricious, stupid nature of tyra's agenda, here's how i predict it will go:

3. anya (probably because tyra will HATE anya's CG commercial) - this is OK because anya will get TONS of real modeling work anyway
2. fatima or whitney
1. fatima or whitney

my money's on Bitch-ney:
she's covergirl and seventeen material

BUT if they put in some redemption arc for fatima in the first half of the finale, then i could potentially see a fatima win. which would surprise the hell out of me, but i'm not ruling it out.

Correction: Jaslene's final runway challenge was actually a normal fashion show complete with an audience. And not to mention Jaslene has become one of the few Top Model winners who is actually getting serious high profile model work. She walked in the Armani fashion show during this years fashion week. And she renewed her contract with Covergirl.(let's hope she'll be doing print ads only and no more of those dreadful commercials)

Well, Jaslene's/Natasha's final runway show wasn't on a traditional, straight runway. Remember? It was a slightly sloping spiral.

^ true stuff, man. but i think cycle 9 takes the cake when it comes to worst cycle ever, mainly because of the suck-leisha win.

so i just rewatched judging from this last episode on youtube and caught the preview for next week -

the runway show actually doesn't look like it's in the galleria vittorio emanuele - so they're probably not going to milan for the final runway...

which means, the runway show will likely be in rome -

and that means they'll be able to get away with a plussie on the runway... (the fashion houses in milan would throw a hissy-fit if they found out that a plussie was doing a runway show in their city)

It wouldn't be unprecedented for Anya to get the boot so suddenly - C8 Renee had the best CG spot during the final 3, but she was suddenly "too old" (nigel's comments, of course), and they sent her packing.

Sure, I didn't really like Renee too much, but I don't think she was ever in the bottom 2 until that final episode. I could be wrong, though.

Either way, there's no rhyme/reason to these eliminations. Hell, there's no rhyme or reason to this show period. (um - cycle 9? saleisha?)

I'm pretty Tyra is going to attack Anya's CG ad (she's been going on about Anya's weird accent since day 1). And unless Whitney goes over the top with her fake-ness, they'll have no one else to send home but Anya.

So for me, Anya seems like the obvious choice to get eliminated next, but I would love it if she stayed and then won the show. She has such a fun and endearing personality, and her look is so fresh and current. Completely different and totally made-for-fashion.

But it's still all up in the air - who knows what sort of shit Tyra will pull this cycle.

- I think that if Fatima pulls of a fantastic runway walk she could actually win. A cover girl needs to be able take good pictures and deliver a good commercial and Fatima could do both. I don't know about Whitney, unless she stops doing the pretentious modeling act. I don't know about Anya, she's really great with everything but what are they going to do with her accent. I can barely understand her in English.

Been meaning to ask this the past few seasons...Has anyone noticed that at the end of each episode, when Tyra is standing in front of the 2 girls that might be eliminated, that when she says "must back her bags and go home" that whomever her eyes look at when she says the word "home" is the girl that is actually staying? It's almost like she can stand to look in the girl's eyes when she says this. I've noticed this for several seasons now..anyone else notice this?

I was watching the Cycle 6 marathon today on MTV and they gave Danielle hell over her southern accent. But girls like Jaslene, Nata and Anya rarely got criticized for their respective accents as Danielle was. It's so unfair but so is Top Model.

I am really pulling for an Anya win b/c it sends a message to future Top Model contestants that you don't have to be a nightmare bitch to win the show. Although I am rooting for Fatima but her chances of winning are kind of slim considering Saleisha's win last cycle. I doubt Tyra & Co. lets two black girls win the show back to back. But we'll see Wednesday.

i loved cycle 6 - and i thought the right girl won.

actually, i think danielle's (aka "dani's") win sent the message that you don't have to be a nightmare bitch to win the show and that you can be the sweetest, most endearing person in the house and still win.

dani's win definitely restored my faith in the show after the shocking nicole win during C5.

so maybe - by that logic, anya does win...

C9 and suckleisha caused a huge stir since everyone knew it was fixed. so maybe tyra's trying to make up for that now -

in C6, she was non-stop with danielle about her accent, but danielle (aka "dani") won the competition.

this cycle, she keeps on going on and on about anya's accent, so maybe anya will end up winning.

i'm really really hoping that happens. that'll be too sweet.

i'd hate to be disappointed, though, so right now my money's still on whitney (sadly), but i'll be the first to jump off my couch and do a little dance if whitney gets the boot sometime during the finale episode.

if whitney gets the boot, tyra will have punk'd alot of us.
but, at the same time, she will have made up for the disaster that was the suckleisha win.

Jaslene, Natasha, and Anya just have foreign accents that don't necessarily portray them as unintelligent. and moe - you're right about tyra not going off on anya like she did danielle. at this point, tyra's just making fun of anya for her own sadistic purposes, whereas with danielle, she was really doing her best to get her to fix her accent so that "dani" could be made a more credible covergirl/antm-winner.

so maybe she's not really investing energy into getting anya to speak more intelligibly because they're dropping her anyway.

ehh - who knows. this mindless speculation is getting me nowhere. can't wait for tomorrow.

hey icefan - this is a pretty interesting observation. i don't think i ever noticed this, but hey - if you've caught it, then see how it pans out the next episode.

tyra likes to tell models not to have "dead eyes," so maybe tyra's eyes really are the key to who stays and who goes home.

anyone notice, though, that tyra now asks, "so who stays?" before she calls the girl they're keeping from the bottom 2?

if you rewatch some old cycles (c3-c8ish), she'll sometimes ask, "so who goes home?" - which totally made no sense since the name she'd call would be the girl who stays.

but for some reason, "so who stays?" doesn't have that same ring as "so who goes home?"

also - does anyone else miss the judging challenges (those strange little tasks that the girls would have to do in front of panel)? they totally got rid of that cycle 8, and the show was made less entertaining because of it.
