America's Next Top Model Cycle 10 girls!!

I remember last cycles thread. People hardly posted. This cycles thread everyones just yappin away, lol. I guess last cycle did kinda suck. Selishia is a pretty girl but to me she only took 1 interesting photo (the one at the Great Wall).

Anywho I'm mostly pulling for Fatima even though she's an uber bitch! LOL she's a HOT uber bitch.

I used to cringe when the girls would mess up though. It created too many awkward moments for me, like when Anchal was supposed to do her freaky dance. So I don't really miss it actually.

awkward, but it made for greaaaaat tv.
plus, without that judging challenge, we would've missed out on melrose's interpretation of boxing.

Anya's runway walk is awful! Whitney completely wiped the floor with her!

Yeah Whitney's walk was better but Anya just got totally robbed. She was one of the best contestants ever!

I think Anya was incredibly gorgeous and she is without a doubt, the most high fashion model Top Model has ever had. But her runway walk, photo and commercial turned out to be really bad.

Whitney killed that runway. I think she was an appropriate winner. The first plus sized model to win! I'm so excited for that fact alone!!
 
First and foremost -- HOT GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Secondly, I was right! Well, I switched between Anya and Fatima as runner up (I guess the bitch goes third rule applies), but it was fairly obvious Whitney was gonna win. Once she made it to the final 6, I knew she had it in the bag. And she tore up that runway, so I don't feel so bad that she won.

And Versace? I almost didn't believe it. That's big for ANTM.

Overall, it was a satisfying cycle. Better than the last 3 cycles combined. Even Saleisha looked good, and that's saying something.
 
WEIRD??!

Whitney did not try out for top model but was approached by someone from the show
(which is nothing new--there have been girls who were found at malls etc and asked to audition)

The REAL weirdness comes from a claim that she was already doing modeling as a size 2 or 4 but because she was closer to a 4 she was a little too big for the show as a regular model. They told her that if she went and gained 10-20 pounds they would definitely put her on the show as "the plus-size model". She's about a 6 or 8 on the show.

She was also guaranteed a Top 3 spot by the producers (***cough TYRA cough***)

i dont care wut u all say whitney won and it was awsome i loved anya as well and this was my personal two favs since the beggining i was happy for who ever won, yeah whitney was a bitch but she rocked the runway even looking all fat and she was the only one to stand out anya kinda blended toomuch like any other not top model anya was great but we needed some juicy booty to win

moe threw me for a loop for a while, but my worst suspicions came true.

but it just goes to show how incredibly predictable this show is. and how nigel TRULY is tyra's parrot.

anytime you have a WTF moment on the show after one of nigel's inane comments, you KNOW the girl that he's talking about is going to win.

i completely agree that whitney's walk was too "bouncy" and grossly swishy - which is exactly what they used on nik to eliminate her during C5. that proves how inconsistent this show is -

i loved paulina's comments at final panel , though - spot on. for once, i agreed with everything paulina said. whitney was a TOTAL ham on the runway, and anya was definitely a budding high fashion model.

i hope paulina takes over the show soon.

with that said - i gotta point out one thing:
the runway show was just as fakely bad as any of the other ones in cycles past.

the only thing i really liked were the hot male models. wish they had given them more screen time. and nothing to wear.

i think cycle 3 was the last time they had a REAL runway show (with noriko fukushima)

they tried to make this show seem huge by using versace clothes, but notice - Donatella Versace wasn't even at the show.

when the models did their final clap and walk at the end (which is usually for the designer), NO designer appeared.

plus, they gave us another bullshit judges' entrance, with tyrant hamming it up again, pretending to be queen of the world with her walk.

and don't get me started on nigel. he looked like the biggest TOOL on that runway. don't get me wrong - i loved nigel C2-7, but he definitely went bad in C9 with all his saleisha-love.

so this was NOT a real versace show.

this was an ANTM fashion show in rome, where they used versace clothes.

don't let them fool you about that.

also, as much as i hate the bitch, cuntleisha definitely had a great runway walk. actually, she's always had a great runway walk (it's her DISGUSTING personality and boring face and thunder thighs and all that tyra-favoritism that bothered me)

but her walk was definitely great -

and did anyone else notice that they gave her the dora-the-explorer hair again at the runway show?

i'll be honest - it definitely brings her up from sucky suckleisha to less-sucky-suckleisha. her natural hair makes her look like a bratz doll/commercial model. so i definitely gotta give tyra some props for forcing that bob/weave on her.

hopefully next cycle (if there is one), they will redeem themselves. i mean, they really need to.

first, there was saleisha-backlash, and while i don't think there will be alot of whitney-backlash, tyra will have no more agendas to push next cycle.

she might pull another C5 for the next winner, and pick the grossy-personality, but very-high-fashion chick.

and yeah - nigel's comments usually are the key, but it has to be a "WTF"-type comment from nigel... as in

"saleisha has so much spunk and energy and has what it takes to be a top model"... WTF?!

boom, saleisha wins.

"whitney has presence and ultimately presence is what you need to be a top model"... WTF?!?

boom, whitney wins.

but maybe next cycle will be different.

hopefully it'll be more of a free-for-all since it's not a monumentous cycle (just a cycle 11 vs return-to-new-york-cycle-10). and she really won't have any more agendas to shove in our face. (maybe an asian winner?)

I have to say, even for a "fake" Versace show, it's been the best, traditional runway in a long time (I think Cycle 5 and 1-2). The runways in Thailand and South Africa were OK, but why can't they be linear? No more gimmicks. This almost makes up for the stupid cave in cycle 7.

And I didn't really like the C3 Noriko Fukushima runway. You can't show off your walk if you're walking that slow.
