And this is the type of sociopathic seat filler that the GOP leadership want. Someone they can control absolutely who will pose no threat to their own power.

All we can hope for is that the rest of his lies trip him up. Because I can guarantee you that with liars like Santos, this is likely only the tip of the iceberg and there may be some really juicy stuff to come.

My guess is that he'll go down once the State of NY or the DOJ starts looking into how he was able to loan his campaign $700K and whether he lied to large donors.
 
^ This is my guess...his finances are probably filthy, but he is like Trump, able to convince himself that he is invincible. In fact, I suspect that like some of the others who run for office, he may be relyig on the influence and power to cover over other lies and crimes.
