Back in 2009, the Obama Administration co-signed on $535 million in loans for a US-based solar panel company called Solyndra. In 2011, the company filed for bankruptcy, defaulting on the loans. Republican members of Congress howled and demanded investigations. The Koch-funded group Americans for Prosperity spent millions on ads decrying the waste of taxpayer money (coincidentally the Koch family owns Koch Industries, a company that profits from oil).

In July, 2020 the Trump Administration co-signed a $700 million loan to Yellow Freight. Over the weekend, Yellow filed for bankruptcy, defaulting on the loan. Yellow had been in financial trouble before the pandemic, needing an estimated $600 million to stay afloat prior to the pandemic. The 2020 loan was approved by the Trump Administration under emergency pandemic loan programs designed to save companies that were deemed to be essential, overruling objections from career government employees.

A 29 year old Ohio police officer who also worked as a school resource officer has been arrested for having sex with a 16 year old in the parking lot of the Church of the Blessed Hope in Chester Township, Ohio. The officer, Nicholas Iacampo, was on duty when the incident occurred.

Matthew Bistany, 51, was in court Tuesday. State Police said they received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that someone uploaded a pornographic image. Investigators say they tracked the IP address to Bistany.

It appears from news photographs that Mr Bistany is not a drag queen.
