And Let's not forget about the other Deplorables

Ian-Benjamin-Rogers-4.jpg

This guy. Another Trumpian nutjob. Jesus wept.

Ian Benjamin Rogers was arrested Jan. 15 and charged in federal court Tuesday, when prosecutors alleged investigators seized 49 firearms, five pipe bombs, bomb-making materials and thousands of rounds of ammunition from his home and business in Napa, California, reported the San Francisco Chronicle.

And again, accusations or slurs don't constitute "facts."

An accusation of lying isn't a fact. It's a spin.

To the fallback of using "assholes" or "gormless fuck" or "knuckle dragging," it isn't appropriate to use slurs in criticizing political positions. As for "deplorable," the use of it as a blanket dismissal of all Republicans and conservatives helped cost her a national election.

Mimicking that as some defense or justification of it is wrong-headed, and leads us down the very same path Trump went.

Don't do it. Stop reducing all political critiques to personal attacks.

Tom Cotton is a conservative. He backed a president and defended terrible positions. Those positions should be the focus, not trying to smear people like kids taunting the others on the playground. It's just gratuitous.

Who is criticizing political positions?

It is the very character of the man we are commenting on. And his actions, And hypocrisy. And spinelessness.

The fact that his political positions are anathema is irrelevant.

Your fantasy of a detente with some of the most morally bankrupt and repugnant men and women is disingenuous.

If you pop a chub for Tom, fine.

You do you and the rest of us will continue on down the path of damnation we are apparently committed to.

But [Text: Removed]...your calls for 'unity' ring false.

Marjorie Greene.

A true Deplorable in every sense.

She is today's winner because Representative Bush has had to maove her office for her safety and that of her staff?

Jewish Space Lasers.

That's right. The new Queen of Crazytown was spreading her theory that the California fires were a plot of the Jews to clear a path for a high speed railway.

Crazy as loon shit, this one.

Crazytown

Georgia’s 14th Congressional District spans a dozen counties in the northwestern portion of the state. The three northernmost counties in the district are part of the Chattanooga, Tennessee metropolitan area and television market, with the central and southern portions reckoned as exurbs of Atlanta. The Cook Partisan Voting Index is R+27.

Median Age: 38
Median Household Income: $56k (US = $66k)
Persons below poverty line: 12%
High School Grad or higher: 82% (US = 88%)
Bachelor’s degree or higher: 18% (US = 33%)

I was thinking the GOP caucus in Washington....;)

But her election demonstrates how easy it is for really dangerous and stupid people to appeal to people you would think would be smarter than that.

The outrage is so fake.

All Biden is doing is wiping away the stain of the dozens of Executive orders that Trump issued.

Fuck off Baby Goebbels. You lost. You Fuhrer is out of power.

And with the House and the Senate...just wait until the legislation starts to get passed.

That [Text: Removed] is as crazy as any I've ever heard of. The fact that she is still in government, despite her outrageous and idiotic comments, shows you the character of the Republican party. Any rational person would have this raving excuse for a woman thrown out of the party. Yes, there are some republicans who want to get rid of her, but they are the minority.

If you think she's crazy, you should meet her constituents.

She's not from that area. She moved to the district to run. She won her primary with 57.1% of the vote. Just like Jim Jordan (67.9%), Louis Gohmert (72.6%) and Devin Nunes (54.2%), she wiped out her Democratic opponent with 74.7% of the 2020 vote in her district.

It's not that she's crazy. It's that the Republican voters in these districts are as crazy as the representatives they elect.

It's as bad as I've ever seen. Most people are ashamed to say those absurd things. They are stooges with no shame at all. It's unreal, like a terrible movie script.

I think at the moment people care more about receiving the money to survive rather than what is on it. But apparently democrats don’t actually want to do that and think they need to work with these deplorables even though they have the majority to pass relief bills.

In case anyone is uncertain about replacing Jackson on the twenty...

(From linked image)
1830, Andrew Jackson signed a law
that he had proposed – the Indian Removal Act –
which legalized ethnic cleansing. 46,000+ indigenous
people were removed from their homelands.
Their removal gave 25 million acres of land
“to white settlement and to slavery,”

Just a reminder for the day that you don't have to be alive to be Deplorable.

And another reminder – Georgia’s 14th Congressional District, currently represented by Marjorie Greene, is part of that 25 million acres of land.[SUP][History]https://www.history.com/topics/native-american-history/trail-of-tears[/SUP]

Which is why, for decades, I've considered him perhaps the worst presidents ever. (OK, that is no longer true. I'll give you three guesses. First three guesses don't count, lol.) Isn't that the era of the smallpox blankets, too?

The true cautionary tale is that Jackson lost a Presidential election in 1824 and then returned in 1828 worse than ever.

The smallpox blanket stories are mostly urban legend, although there's plenty of other atrocities committed against Native Americans that aren't.

Capitol rioter seeks OK to travel to Mexico’s spring break haven [NY Post]
A former mayoral candidate from Texas who is charged in the Capitol riot is seeking a judge’s permission to travel to a sun-soaked region of Mexico for a “bonding retreat” with employees of her flower shop.

In a court motion filed Monday, Jenny Cudd’s lawyers said she had prepaid a weekend retreat for herself and her employees in Riviera Maya, Mexico, from Feb. 18-21.

“This is a work-related bonding retreat for employees and their spouses,” the motion states.
