It's not that Americans are easily led, or that there is no real party difference, there is - the problem is that politics has been financially incentivized. When the root issue is money, not policy you get the Republican Party which is basically the graft and misappropriation party.

Politicians whose goal is to stay in power as long as possible for the specific purpose of enriching themselves or the people who pay them. It's easier to motivate people by pandering to our baser instincts than convince us one is the best policy option. Everyone knows that. If your basic goal is not to build a better country, why bother? All that culture war stuff is used to scare and divide and stampede people to the polls for specific culture war reasons, while the party sells the house out from under us - and once they get a leg up, they immediately rig the system to deny anyone the chance to vote them out.

It's not a coordinated conspiracy, it's just the same playbook being used in a bunch of different places, but the primary motivator is the same. The trogs know they can outrage the horde with women's penises in locker rooms, get elected, steal, sell influence, take bribes under a vast array of names, and then end up being a lucrative consultant or lobbyists making tons of cash.

Nor does it always work, but the issue is not stupidity, everyone has idiots, and everyone has Nazis. The problem is too much financial temptation in the government. It's not even like this is tin pot Dictator kind of corruption - though the trogs are certainly headed that way - most of it is perfectly legal, and the trogs are willing to do just about anything to stay in office and keep it that way.

It's really disgusting that no matter what happens, from this to hurricanes, to school massacres - the right is only ever interested in playing partisan games with the media.

In a Republican State with a Republican government, you'd think a Republican House of Representatives in Washington would be voting for aid and investigation.

The Senate would pass it, and Biden would sign it, but they don't want to let that happen since they couldn't use it to hate on Biden. So fuck Ohio.

I have been hoping that US Intelligence is aware that trump made a deal with the another devil.

I have to believe that as the putin/trump connections are painfully obvious and have been from the beginning.

I also have to believe that they are very careful not to undermine American's faith in Democracy by keeping it quiet and doing damage control.
