And Let's not forget about the other Deplorables

And MTG is resigning...the day after her Congressional pension is fully vested.

And what a noble picture she paints of herself.

Fuck off and just disappear Marj.

Mace was out and about doing interviews on TV and radio this week. This is the general script for her interviews that I heard:
  • "I care about these women who were victims of rich and powerful men".
  • "Let's talk for 10 minutes about how I'm a victim and how horrible all the men (who I insist on naming) sexually abused me."
  • "I stand for women"
  • "But back to me..."
  • "Did I mention that I'm a victim of sexual abuse?"
  • "I'm running for governor of South Carolina".
  • "President Trump is soooo wonderful. He's on the side of all women! He's great! He cares about women who were victims of sexual abuse! I call him all the time. He's my good friend. He's great. He's the best President ever!"
  • "Did I mention that I'm running for governor of South Carolina?"
  • "I'm on the side of the Epstein survivors!"

And... scene...

Examples (note the flower shows up and disappears).... (one new thing we learned: Nancy has a dog and it's her only friend because nobody likes her):

Finally, the truest thing she likely has ever said. She has no friends and has a dog. A dog that likely hopes that Kristi Noem turns up and puts it out of its misery.

How many more of these creeps are out there loudly proclaiming Tate Bro. inspired nonsense under the notion that it has given them permission.

ICE Barbie's sloppy hiring practices...

  • Alexander Steven Back, 41, an ICE employee from Minnesota, is among 16 men who authorities allege tried to hire a minor for sex
  • Officers from several jurisdictions conducted an undercover anti-sex-trafficking and prostitution of minors sting titled "Operation Creep" in Bloomington, Minn.
  • When he was arrested, Back is alleged to have said, "I'm ICE, boys," Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges said Tuesday, Nov. 18
A civilian Immigration and Customs Enforcement employee in Minnesota is among 16 men who authorities allege tried to hire a minor for sex in a sting operation in Bloomington, Minn.

Alexander Steven Back, a 41-year-old auditor with ICE from Robbinsdale, Minn., was arrested as part of "Operation Creep," Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges announced at a news conference on Tuesday, Nov. 18.

According to Back's criminal complaint, which was obtained by PEOPLE, Back allegedly responded to an advertisement offering prostitution services on Nov. 13. The advertisement was placed by officers conducting a sting operation.

An undercover officer posing as a 17-year-old girl named Bella texted him that day, "U ok if I'm a lil younger than my ad says...just wanna be honest," according to the complaint.

Back allegedly replied, "Sure."

^ there are so many of them. Remember that Vance is a creation of Thiel like Trump was a creation of the deeply cloested Roy Cohn.

But the ability of closeted GQPers to have it all covered over is a reminder of just how powerful their protectors are.

Except for the ones they realize are expendable and perhaps a threat totheir interests.

I excpect the chatter to ramp up if either Vance or Rubio take a serious run at the presidency.

Remember Speaker Mike Johnson's grand plan to delay reopening the House until a special election for a US House seat was able to give him another Republican vote?

That plan isn't exactly going the way he hoped:

Democrat, Republican neck and neck in Tennessee special election: Poll

Democrat Aftyn Behn and Republican Matt Van Epps are polling neck and neck in a Tennessee special election to replace former Rep. Mark Green (R-Tenn.), according to a new poll.

An Emerson College Polling/The Hill survey released Wednesday showed Van Epps, former commissioner of the Tennessee Department of General Services, at close to 48 percent and Behn, a state representative, at 46 percent among likely voters and voters who have already voted.

Close to 5 percent say they’re undecided.

Because of the poll results, the GQPers will get out there and vote hard.

In fact, I don't see a horse race at all.

“Those who report voting early break for Behn, 56% to 42%, whereas those who plan to vote on Election Day break for Van Epps, 51% to 39%,” he continued. “Voters under 40 are Behn’s strongest group, 64% of whom support her, while Van Epps’ vote increases with age, to 61% of those over 70.”

Trump carried that district by 22 points in 2024. It's 70% white and spans from the western suburbs of Nashville to east of Memphis. It will be a turnout election and Democrats are not normally prone to vote in non-Presidential elections.

The wild card is that people are pissed off- they thought they elected a norm-busting billionaire who cared about the little guy. What they are discovering is what the rest of us knew- they elected an 80 year old criminal grifter narcissist who is a sociopath with no interest other than self-promotion and greed.

^ Which is why there is no neck-in-neck race. The media is only playing the game.

And I don't beleive there is a wild card in solid TrumpCore land. There is nothing except for losing their ACA subsidies that would move the needle and if the majority of van Epps voters are getting Medicare and not likely to be pushed off the rolls, that won't move them either.

The Hail Mary pass by getting Trump to shove out a sloppy new version of GQP TrumpCare hasn't likely had a big impact either, but everything I know from this area is that the fear of undeserving brown people getting something they don't deserve and what I call 'generational' voting where families just keeping voting the way their Daddy and Grand-Daddy told them to will win the day.

Mike Johnson doesn't have to lose sleep quite yet.

It's more of a local story but Middle Tennessee lacks grocery competitiveness, so grocery prices have increased disproportionately to the rest of the state. While eastern Tennessee benefits from proximity to North Carolina farms and western Tennessee benefits from nearness to the Mississippi River, that area of Middle Tennessee has seen higher retail costs. And they are not happy about it.

^ I'm just an occasional Tennessee visitor, but I've shopped in Kroger and Publix in Nashville, and I know there are Walmart and Target stores. Seems competitive enough to me. My favorite? Kroger at Green Hills.

That House district is TN-7. It excludes the liberal and progressive areas of East Nashville. It does contain Franklin, a more progressive area, but any progressive leanings from Franklin are more than diluted out by the western side of the district. It's the same area that produced Nathan Bedford Forrest, founder of the Ku Klux Klan. On the northern border of the district is Kentucky and on the southern border is Alabama.

There's one major regional competitor, Food City, but once you get out of West Nashville, most of the grocery stores on the list are big box national players like Kroger. Walmart tends to have a downward pressure on pricing but not all Walmarts or Targets in the rural areas have a full grocery section and instead, tend to focus on non-perishables like sodas, chips and cookies.

The guy who resigned from Congress to create the vacancy was Dr Mark Green, a physician. Dr Green started his career as center-right but got increasingly more far-right in the past decade, as he got richer. He usually won the district with 40 to 50+ margins. He was in quite a bit of hot water toward the end of his career because of his conflicts of interest (he was involved in a corporation that owned urgent care businesses) and his questionable stock trades. He finally resigned from Congress after he realized he could make a shitload more money in the private sector, capitalizing on his Washington connections. He did stick around long enough to vote "yea" on the Big Beautiful Bastard Bill, even though he had apparently started his new job in the private sector?

Nancy Mace. For the lies.

After voting against the infrastructure bill and then claiming credit for the funding that was approved under Biden.

She is a bucket of trash.

So Trump's media team has weighed in.

All the greatest hits. The langauge down pat.

He is the avatar of the GQP hate machine in the West Wing who will be lost without him because Vance just doesn't have the same impact.

Seen today:

"The fact that US Army Spc. Sarah Beckstrom was killed in the streets of DC 4 days ago in uniform, and STILL couldn’t get a half-staff order — yet a podcaster like Charlie Kirk got one within hours — tells you EXACTLY where DJTs priorities are, and NONE of them involve the people who actually serve this country."
