It's definitely not 95%. Most homophobes are just overly religious and think it's their duty to condemn gays because of some ancient religious text.

Bishop Eddie Long Stepping Down Sunday, Fourth Victim Steps Forward


*UPDATE* : A fourth young male member of Bishop Eddie Long’s megachurch is suing, claiming Long coerced him into a sexual relationship:

The lawsuit was filed by Spencer LeGrande, a member of New Birth Charlotte. New Birth Charlotte is a satellite church run by Long in Charlotte, N.C. The lawsuit said Long told LeGrande “I will be your dad” and invited the 17-year-old to journey to Kenya with him in July 2005. LeGrande said that Long gave him a sleeping pill on that trip and that the two engaged in sexual acts.

SMH. 30 man class action lawsuit — here we come!

Think maybe they should take “Missionary” out of the name of the church now?

This whole story is hilarious and wouldn't surprise me if this is true. My only thing is why did the three (count them 3) guys decide to come out about this when it happen so long ago. I'm sure Donnie Mcclurkin is gonna talk about this at some point lol.

The honor? I never had any exchange or wanted ANY conversation with you on JUB prior to your reply to me in this thread. I'm sure the Feeling is mutual. I should have simply ignored you but I chose not to. That was my mistake.

A good friend of ours (who married his partner a few years ago and was featured on LOGO at the time) has many dark memories of this church. He shared a few of them with us the other night and I can only hope that this "pastor" (I put quotations because he is a charlatan) gets some of what he sowed.

Our friend was forced to attend healing services because he exhibited gay tendancies. He was mocked, he was told he could change and he struggled for many years with who he is. He said he almost killed himself.

My wish is that this charlatan is exposed for what he is. I have met many mega church pastors and the same thing usually rings true: prosperity gospel. "Love Jesus and get rich." Funny, I didn't read that in my bible....
