Another Hollywood celebrity to come out on May 5th [Chely Wright]

Ummm, how about Neil Patrick Harris, Sir Ian McKellan, Cheyenne Jackson, Jonathan Groff, Stephen Fry...

I can keep going if you want, but there a lot of A-Listers who are openly gay...
Cheyenne and Jonathan are great but they are primarily musical theater actors and coming out isn't really a risky career move for them....great as it is they are comfortable being themselves.Ian's a great character actor,Stephen a terrific comic and character actor as well.Even Neil as well...the most impactful coming out would be a headliner mainstream lead actor type.Franco would be interesting but tends toward character parts, doesn't carefor that that big Hollywood star public relations crap...I don't know where this mystery gay will come from but I'm doubtful it will be anything but from the character actor side of the business. As great as it is for anyone in the public eye to live honestly and openly it will only be a big thing and not business as usual if an up and comer or major name in Hollywood comes out.Hopefully it won't be a has been looking for something, anything to get his name back in lights.Vin Diesel had his chance and if he is gay,I'd as soon he stay in the closet than breaking through the doors singing "Hey,look at me now! What a fabulous makeover"!

First came to mind after seeing the "action hero" quote is Vin Diesel, since there are rumours of him being gay.

If Chris Evans or James Franco comes out gay, I will be damn excited!! :P

Hmmm... "PR powerhouse"..... I don't think helping the "celebs" listed below come out of the closet really qualify this guy to be called a "powerhouse"...

PR powerhouse Howard Bragman, who has successfully -- some might add brilliantly -- orchestrated several celeb outings in the past decade talked about his next coming out project at the GLAAD Media Awards red carpet Sunday (Apr. 17).

Bragman -- the coming out king of Hollywood -- doesn't want to speculate on who it will be (that would kind of ruin his well-planned surprise, wouldn't it) but in the past he's helped NFL defensive lineman Isera Tualo, LPGA star Rosie Jones, WNBA star Sheryl Swoops and retired NBA center John Amaechi come out.

He also orchestrated the plans for former "Party of Five" Mitchell Anderson, "Married with Children" co-star Amanda Bearse and aided Dick Sargent of "Bewitched" fame to come out on Entertainment Tonight.

But with the looks like it, those celebs that come out with the aid of this PR guy don't seem to be huge A-listers. So I guess it maybe some C-lister or at most B-lister.

Don't forget - - the "A" in "A Lister" could be self appointed. I am gonna say it's not someone who is married. It's not gonna be George Clooney, nor is it gonna be Brad Pitt. I doubt Bruce Willis is anything but perhaps bisexual (for those three-ways with Demi and Ashton), but the whole "action star" has me thrown. Count Arnold out. Vin seems likely. His career is in the toilet and who knows what pictures have been taken of him with other men. We know Matt Dallas and Matthew Bomer are gay, but have not publicly come out. But neither is a real action star and neither are A-listers. Chris Evans being gay is doubtful to me since his brother, Scott, is really gay. My fantasy - Stone Cold Steve Austin. He just split from his wife. How great it would be to find out Lance Bass has been riding Stone Cold for months?

it has to either be Jake Gyllenhaal or Tobey Maguire. Months ago, Z100 when l was listening to them on the car radio let it slip insinuating that Jake
was gay and will be coming out soon on People magazine like Lance Bass did.

People are reading too much into the action hero remark.

In a sense, Bragman is at war, taking on the entertainment industry to end the perception that a gay actor has to stay in the closet. Bragman believes that times are changing and that we will soon have our first gay Hollywood action hero.

In no way implies the one coming out is a star of action movie/s.

Unless I am missing some clue, the article doesn't say that the celebrity coming out will be a man.

there's a ton of good guesses here. i was going to respond but after reading these, i have no idea. vin diesel/james franco both sounded pretty interesting. kevin spacey? given meredith baxter birney had to come out in advance of a tabloid story - i can see someone having snaps of spacey getting touchy feely with some random young piece at a party.

This whole article is baffles me. How does a publicist help people come out? They just come out. This is so dumb.

And since when is there a come out date. That's even dumber.
