PS.... I'm still trying to figure out who this Melissa Perry is that got Springer so upset. There's a Melissa Harris-Perry at MSNBC so that can't be who he's talking about. Melissa Perry must be someone at Fox Propaganda News.

Since the OP of this thread was instrumental in having the Barbara Bush thread deleted, I'm taking the liberty to inform those who are interested that Mrs. Bush has been discharged from the hospital and returned home.

I think they are so legitimately clueless what's wrong with some of the things they say that women or gays or blacks or whoever else "get all up in arms about" and they show it in situations like these. In their minds, this is "the same thing, except they're the ones on the receiving end on it." It's not really different from when an upper middle class white kid points out that there's a scholarship for urban black youth and then says he's reverse-discriminated against. They don't "get it."

In a way what they're showing us is the level of superficiality they place it on when people get mad about a really racist remark.

THey can dish it out but they can't take it. In their minds,they're "helping" us and thus don't deserve to be called out like the bigots they are.
