(*8*) Good afternoon, John.

I'll be watching the gator.gifin 90 minutes. They are given a 32% chance.

I sent you a DM a few days ago. It was the first time I tried a DM and wondering if you got it.

It's 12:10 and 62F

^That was a good game. The Holy Men and USC won also. A sweep for me.

I guess I was looking in the wrong place.

Hello Johnnie , thanks again for writing
Have a pleasant day later My Friend

Good Sunday morning, Gary and Frankie! (*8*)

How about those Gators? They've been having their troubles with a tough schedule this year, and it was clear they had to get at least one game they weren't expected to win to become bowl eligible . Well, they got it last night, beating LSU. And I see that your Holy Men had no trouble winning their game.

Gary, it seems that you're getting cooler weather. Only 62 at midday? You're going to turn on the heat, sleep under the blankets, and wear sweaters and jackets. Actually, it's finally getting a little cooler here. We had a low of 60 yesterday morning, warming up to only 80 degrees, with a much lower humidity. And by the end of next week, it's supposed to drop down into the mid- 50s, with highs only in the low 70s, our first cold snap of the year.

Hi John!

I'm at SLC Airport waiting to fly home. Last night was fun, with a play, "The Moors," at Westminster University. It's by the author of "The Roommate," now playing on Broadway with Mia Farrow. This one is weird and wild, and the student cast was excellent. It's not spoiling much to say not everything ends well. But you might not expect the completely bananas ending.

After the play, I went dancing. I wasn't expecting to. It was underwear night at Club TRYangles in SLC and the DJ was good. Yes, I wore my orange-and-gray Reebok underwear.

So back home now, for a quiet next few weeks.

I'm glad the 🏈 s bounced your way yesterday. Have a great week!

Good Thursday morning, Thad and Andrew! (*8*)

Thad, I'm glad you had a good time in Salt Lake City. Sounds like you had a lot to do there, in spite of it being Mormon Central. I take it you're resting up back home.

On Tuesday afternoon I went to the bank with a couple of other people from my local genealogical society to get my name on a couple of accounts, because I allowed myself to named as a trustee. Now when I hear the word trustee, I think of a bunch of stuffy old men. Is that really what I've morphed into? Mark my words, I am not going to touch anything, people go to jail for messing around with organizational accounts. The only way I'm going to do anything is with the full knowledge and direction of the board, advice from my attorney, an act of congress, well, you get the idea.

Hello Johnnie , thank you for your wishes . I hope you have a pleasant weekend as well My Friend

(*8*) Good morning, John.

Can't stay long as the 🐊 game is starting soon. Let's hope they drag Ole Miss into the into the Swamp to drown

I'm scared!

I did NOT go out tonight. I was up all night last night and did not feel like doing a thing when I did rise. But I'm going to the New Jersey Devils game Monday night vs. Nashville. The Devils are off to a fine start. The Predators are not, though I did see them win last month in Nashville.

tv_happy.gif I watched football for 14 hours today. 😵‍💫 Maybe I should get a life. But all the right teams won. (y)

Happy Thanksgiving Eaglex, RM, Gary, Thad, and everybody! (*8*)

Eaglex, that dancing turkey is fun!

Gary, there should be some good football this weekend. Your Holy Men should win, and the Gators should have an easy time with arch rivals FSU. It's weird though, that after this tough year, and fighting back for respectability, that they're actually favored. I'm getting a funny feeling about this one, like the game might not go as expected.

Thad, I hope you enjoyed the Devils/Predators game the other night, and maybe you've had a chance to take in yet another game since then. I know you like to keep doing interesting things.

I had a good Thanksgiving. Today I went over to a gay assisted living facility in response to the owner throwing out an open invitation to the community. It was sort of a potluck, with him providing the turkey and desserts, and everyone else bringing something. It was named after a woman, who with her spouse, was one of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit to make same-gender marriage legal in New York some years ago. Connie passed away, but her wife still lives in the metro West Palm Beach area.

Hi Johnnie , great to know you had a Good ThanksGiving Day

Have a pleasant weekend My Friend

(*8*) Good evening. John

I was sitting alone watching football yesterday when my cleaning lady called and invited me to have dinner at her parents. They live a block away. I never met them before. Had a wonder time and lots of good food.

:grrr:The only game today I want is Chiefs and Raiders, but it is on Amazon Prime which I do not have. As I write this, KC is ahead by two points at the start of the 4th quarter. I get the gator.gifgame tomorrow.

Good Monday afternoon, Gary and Frankie! (*8*)

Gary, I see that your Holy Men beat USC on Saturday. And the Gators whipped FSU's butts. I needn't have worried. (!)

Yesterday I decided to avail myself of a ripe mango hanging on the tree of the neighbor diagonally behind my backyard. The view was blocked by the thick foliage of the mango tree, so there was no way the neighbors could have even known that the fruit was even on that tree. And it was right on the border of the neighbor's property directly behind me. This was very unusual, because you never have ripe mangos in December in Florida, they're simply out of season. But I've seen this particular tree do things that mango trees just don't do, like blooming out of season. So I had to sample it.

So I got my long fruit picking pole. The mango was about 10 feet high, and about 6 feet away from the chain link fence on the edge of my property. I figured that if I yanked hard on the pole toward me, there was a remote chance I could get it to land in my yard, but I still thought there was an 80% chance it would land in the backyard of the people's yard directly behind me.

Which is exactly what it did. So I at first tried to climb the fence the way I'd do it as a kid, but when I tried it, the resulting stresses and strains and aching body parts told me, "Nah-ah, baby, don't even try it!" So I got my A frame ladder, and put it over the fence, the step side in my yard, and the other side in the backyard behind me. So I climbed the ladder, stepped off onto the rail at the top of the chain link fence, and CAREFULLY lowered myself into the neighbors' backyard. And when I looked on the ground, I saw a bonus, there were already two ripe mangos on the ground in addition to the one I dislodged.

But once I was over there I went over to greet the neighbors' dog, Frida. She was the dog that had jumped my fence a couple of months ago that I wrote about. But it seems that now the owners have Frida tethered on a long rope that doesn't quite reach the fence, so she can't jump it. I believe that's Frida, as in Kahlo, the Mexican artist and notorious bisexual. I think her owners must be liberal Democrats. They had an older long-haired black dog named Bernie (as in Sanders?), but I haven't seen him in awhile, so he must have passed away. Anyway, I spent several minutes petting Frida, until she finally walked on.

I finally tossed the three mangos over the fence into my backyard, and then had the arduous task of climbing back over the ladder. It wasn't easy, since the side in the neighbors' yard didn't have any steps, just the side board that serves to stabilize it. But I had to use it as a step to hoist myself up to the fence railing, and then climb down the steps to get back down into my yard-- the easy part.

And I'm glad I went to all that trouble. When I had one of the mangos this morning, it was delicious, perhaps one of the best mangos I've ever tasted. And I have two more mangos for tomorrow morning. (!)
