Actually, I've been sad since the pastor of my church announced her resignation yesterday. I don't know what happened, but it seems that some underhanded maneuvering by some people is involved. I feel like I've just been told that somebody died. I've seen pastors resign before, but none of them have upset me like this one has.:cry:

This morning I cut down a bunch of vines that grew on the back of my house. I had waited until the worst of the summer heat was over this year, but it was still 87 and muggy today.

Well, I'm still upset about the church pastor having to resign. I thought about ranting on it here, but it doesn't involve you guys. I think I'm going to call up a member of the church board that I trust, to tell me what really happened.

I did the Halloween thing, buying a large bag of candy, and turning on the front door light, but alas, no trick or treaters. But a couple of houses across the street set up tables outside, with decorations and the whole works. I saw kids cross the street to get to those places. But then, there are things that I need to take care of at my house, so it looks like it OUGHT to be haunted :badgrin:, maybe that scared them away. I've just decided that I won't even bother next year. Though I have to admit the 20 year old boy across the street looked incredibly cute in his costume, a sort of cross between Harry Potter and an elf in black sort of looking thing.:drool:

Well, I could say that we have no kids here because of the alligators. But they're quite safe, as long as foolish Floridians allow their chihuahuas and schnauzerdoodles to wander too close to the local lakes and canals! :eek:

The coyotes eat the snowbird's little dogs regularly. We have helicopter parents here, so the kids are guarded.
