I spent some time with the dentist yesterday. It was nice, but we didn't get to spend as much time together as I would have like. His cleaning lady showed up late, and he had to visit family later, so we could only get a couple of hours in. He's taking a trip, so I'll have to do without his services for awhile. :(

Thanks again for informing us of Billy's passing. He was one of the nicest guys on Just Us Boys. Though people tell us that we're sad only because we can't see their wonderful life on the other side.

I did see the fireworks last night that my local municipality put on. I'll have to admit it was the best I've ever seen them put on, going on continuously for a long time. Of course, everyone around me was setting off their own fireworks. Some of them look just about as spectacular as the city displays. But I have to admit that to some degree all the celebration seemed a bit hollow for me this year, with all the political shit going on right now.

Well, I had to shell out some big bucks for a new lawn mower yesterday. It was too heavy to carry long distances, so I brought it into my living room because it was next to my carport. I put it together last night, and I actually mowed my front yard this morning. Hooray!
