devil's advocate, they have families to protect from the lunacy and violence of the right. they've been silent for years and STILL "Michael Obama" is trending on twitter every 5 minutes. being outspoken in the age of digital instant information can be a death sentence. 5 minutes and I'm sure I could find out where Obama lives and where his daughters' dorms are. What could that info mean for a MAGA maniac with a chip on their shoulder?

I get it. We saw the assassination of a Dem lawmaker and the beating of Paul Pelosi and torching of the Dem governor's house.

But if all the Dems just cower like the German left did after 1933...their lives and the safety of their families may be in greater danger than if they do their job, find an actual position for their voters to rallyu around and focus on creating real leadership.

Otherwise, they will all end up beingtoken seat fillers like the 'opposition' parties in rrrXXZia, Hungary, Turkey etc. etc. And I think a lot of them would be quite happy to have that gig.
 
This is why all the legacy Dems need to fuck off and retire. If there is any of them that haven't figured out that a 'deal' means nothing to Trump and the GQP it is time for them to leave Washington.

It is clear they will cave again.

On a related note...

Remember earlier this week that the State of NY had arrested a Jan 6th insurrectionist who had been pardoned by Trump? The guy who had threatened to kill Jeffries on Monday while Jeffries was giving a speech in NY?

The insurrectionist made bail and is apparently back on the streets.
