2. "I am unfit for public speaking." Ever since middle school, I've always been terrible at "persuasive essays" and debate. If anything, my lackluster arguments and terribly-backed-up points are most likely to get people to start wondering if my position is all that tenable.

Yes. The wiki article says she received death threats via the internet after she used the pejorative term "tranny" in a video; she apologized and took down the video.

The trouble with those zealous "Social Justice Warriors" is that they keep on following different trends over what is offensive or not. At least the zealous old-time religious zealots were consistent over those things they get so het up about.

Yes, I believe the current brouhaha over Kate Smith is wrong. She recorded over 3000 songs. Two of them were, by current standards, racist. They were forgotten over time. Her "God Bless America" remains beloved. And she gave a radio broadcast in the 1940s decrying racial prejudice. It seemed history was remembering the right things...until recently.

I can't blame this on "social justice warriors."
