CHRISTOVAL, Tex. — Despite the Internet chatter about trains with shackles and Walmart stores being closed to be used as detention camps, this small West Texas town on Wednesday seemed to be surviving the start of Jade Helm 15, the military exercise that some people fear is actually a ruse for a federal takeover of the state.

No military equipment or personnel were visible. No tanks were rumbling past the beige-metal community center on Main Street next door to the fire station here, the scene of 4-H Club meetings and family reunions. But that did not mean that people were not on the alert.

I just found out even more about how the lunatics are running the asylum there, in an old article from 2013.

When Texas passed that law that shut down nearly all the abortion clinics in July 2013, people with concealed carry permits were allowed to bring their guns into session. But...women wearing tampons? They were required to SURRENDER their tampons.

The state police were the ones confiscating women's tampons. What did they do...body searches?

Can burqas and genital mutilations be far behind?

It may be illegal to bar guns in the Capitol. I forget exactly what the exceptions were, but it's illegal to bar guns in public accommodations, stores, parks, universities - I can't remember if churches got exemptions, but I do think that places where state congressmen work can ban firearms.

That there was a presumption that women were prepared to launch an offensive, armed with tampons against members of the house, leading to state troopers searching bags, and confiscating tampons it is credible to believe that a psychopath might discharge a fire arm having had their tampons seized.

If security personnel are going to respond to any threat of violence against members of the house, I would assume that fire arms would also be included on the list of seized items....returnable, on leaving the building...

...we are discussing the United States of America, a country where fire arms violence is a national past time....
