Austin, Texas Mini Meet Aug 2nd, Quick Info

Itinerary for Saturday August 2nd is as follows:

Arrive Drury Inn Austin, around 3:00pm for check in, and Happy Hour around 5:30.

Arrive at 219 West for dinner and drinks around 8:00PM.

Arrive at Oil Can Harry's around 10:00PM for dancing, and celebrating 16 years of 29th Birthdays for centexfarmer.

No gifts please, your attendance will be more than enough.

I have now left a little debauchery for you all at Oil Can Hairy's and Rain....actually I should have the bartender at OCH watch for you.....and treat you accordingly!

And the bartender at Charlies was, I think, trying to get me drunk with shots last night! It worked (slightly intoxicated) but I ended up with someone else at Rain! Ha...ha..!

I'm going to be in Austin next Saturday and Sunday the 19th and 20th for work. I have two back to back 20 and 22 hour layovers there!!! I wont know my August schedule until late tonight or tomorrow. But if anyone is interested in hanging out next weekend, that would be a blast!

damn it! i'm spoken for this weekend and next. otherwise i would love to hang out with you.

i'm keeping my fingers crossed that your schedule might bring you back in a couple of weeks!

Well I'm here in Austin right now, and I'll be here all weekend (except during the day tomorrow while I fly to Chicago and back) through Monday. Now, I just checked my schedule for next month as the final integrated schedule came out last night... and I don't know how I ended up with this but I got 8 days off in a row, from the 31st of July through the 8th of August. So Preston, give me a jingle when you get a chance, I know you are working this weekend and I'm not doing anything but lounging around Austin.

I don't think Chad was working last week when I was in Austin....Steve and Patrick seemed to take pretty good care of Sal and I though....

Steve is a great guy and was just featured in whatever the gay magazine is in Austin (it's a booklet deal). I can't remember who the shotboy was the night we were there (Sal used to be one for Jack Daniels promotions!)

The guys at Rain were also a lot of fun on Sunday....family feud, cutie that came in after playing tennis, straight bartender that sure did like to flirt....

And then the bartender at Charlie's that kept pouring me shots and trying to be very friendly....oh how I loved Austin!

Hmmm...maybe I can see if Sal can represent me at this prestigious event and purchase a birthday round....

Ugh I'm over Austin. I'm ready to fly to Denver already!!! It's so hot here, and I'm hungover now too. I didn't even make it to OCH last night, we got tore up at other bars. I started off drinking beer and mojitos, which progressed into other liquor drinks, and shots too. I don't even remember getting back to my hotel either!! Oh well, I just popped some excedrin, and I'm gonna nap some more before I have to go to work this afternoon. I hope I feel better before then! Damn Austin and it's booze!

I didn't even see any cute gay boys last night either!

First off you don't mix your liquor, and secondly, you'll need to pace yourself if you're planning on partying with us boys in Texas on August 2nd!

Some of us have been known to "take advantage."

I just stayed at the Hampton Inn on 2nd Street within staggering distance of OCH and the other places. I also have stayed at the Hilton Gardens. I think with I only had to pay $109 at the Hampton; can't remember what the Gardens was....

Wish I were going to be there that weekend...darn! I'll be getting back from beautiful Boone, Iowa!

Why are you all staying at the Drury? Isn't it a bit out of the way? I spotted a few hotels within walking distance to 6th street areas. I saw the Hilton and the Four Seasons.

preston got us a good room rate.

Where is this restaurant located at? And I know about where OCH is. How is everyone planning on getting around? I need to look into booking a hotel room. I will have to fly out somewhat early Sunday morning as I am going to Canada to visit my grandfather.

as i recall the restaurant is on the same street and a block up from och.

I'm not sure when we'll be leaving, but I'll be picking up centexfarmer on the way down (since he's the birthday boy and all). I'm not sure which vehicle I'm taking, but they both seat five although at the STL meet we found out that a fireman will fit in the back of my [STRIKE]truck[/STRIKE] suv for short distances.

And I think the fireman found that it was quite comfortable...although the thought of a sudden rear end collision caused me to later break out in sweats!

And I rather enjoyed your trunk, if I may say so!
