best album ever

Elton John's "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy". Absolutely flawless.

*clears throat and does best Kate Bush imitation*

"Out on a wileeeeeeeyyyyy...."

Actually that particular song isn't on my best album ever, The Dreaming, but I never got over Kate. This album has to be her most sonically adventurous. Lyrical, sublime, and at times hair-raising - it still gives me goosebumps after all these years.

BEST of all times need to stand the test of time... Then however personal taste plays a role.

Jimi Hendrix's 'Are You Experienced' would be a top contender as my all time album, I STILL have the LP I bought way back when.

I am gonna go ahead and say Dave Matthews Band's "Before These Crowded Streets" is the best album ever.

Besides DMB, we've got the best albums of:

The White Album, The Beatles
Kind of Blue, Miles Davis
The Stranger, Billy Joel

That's what makes it sooo hard to pick ONE of anything.

Kind of Blue - Columbia 6-eye Lp may be the the best recording of ALL time. Not to mention the music on the the LP ;)

TLC - CrazySexyCool

The epitome of 90s r&b, hip-hop and soul. The album spawned the hit singles Creep, Diggin' on You, Waterfalls and Red Light Special.

But you should also check out "Sumthin' Wicked This Way Comes," "If I Was Your Girlfriend" (Prince cover) and ......oh hell the whole thing is worth checking out!

Christina Aguilera-Stripped. This is my favorite albume of all-time! Every song embodies a different emotion!

well...

Madonna - Ray Of Light
Utada Hikaru - Deep River
..|

Agrees with Ray of Light, possibly Madonna's best album.

Throw in By The Way - RHCP and Jagged Little Pill - Alanis Morissette for good cause.

either . jt's FUTURE SEX/LOVE SOUNDS , pink "I'M NOT DEAD"
& SO FAR of the 8 songs of britney spears " BLACKOUT"

If it's not even the best Beatles album, how can it be the best album ever?

different strokes for different folks

maybe i was unclear
i meant best album that you love

revolver is a good choice

I would have to second Mariah Carey's Butterfly because of the songs: The Roof, My All, and Breakdown.
