Here's a new youtube video by the group She-PAC.

Guess we know what Maher thinks of Obama's daughters . . . actually we know what Obama thinks of his own daughters.

Obama is the biggest hyprocrite for not insisting Maher's 1 million be returned and denouncing Maher's treatment of women.

Some other choice comments from liberals regarding women.

“Vote for only ‘authentic’ female candidates” – Patricia Ireland of N.O.W.
Sarah Palin is Pat Buchanan in drag” - Eleanor Clift, in Newsweek
“Her greatest hypocrisy is in her pretense that she is a woman.” – Wendy Doniger, The Washington Post
“Do you cheer if the (glass) ceiling is crashed by two conservative businesswomen?” – Slate
feels as if all these women winning are kind of a blow to feminism. - Tina Brown, Daily Beast on Good Morning America
Sarah Palin’s Mama Grizzlies are merely the latest incarnation of the anti-women’s movement — a movement to oppose real solutions for women, dressed up in a skirt and lipstick, as if to legitimize their efforts to block progress. – Alternet
“She may be a lady, but she ain’t no woman” – Salon, in reference to Sarah Palin

And I can bring up plenty of quotes from conservatives disparaging women, gays and other minorities... so your point is?

duh, his point is to continue the frantic and desperate spin (I really wish I could get a copy of the talking points daily briefings these conservatives get so I know how to think each day) that the big bad meany liberals have no right to get mad at Rush Limbaugh when.... when.... they don't (lip quivers) like Sarah Palin (sniffle sniffle) and she's.....she's a WOMAN!

They then scratch around to find as many quotes as possible of anyone they deem "liberal" mentioning, referring, or acknowledging that a candidate (mostly let's admit, Sarah Palin) is a woman or that they don't like her and call it disparagement of all "women" JUST LIKE WHAT RUSH LIMBAUGH DID ONLY THEY DID IT FIRST (and then they stick out their tongue and stamp their feet) because, if you throw enough shit against the wall, something is bound to stick. All they feel they have to do is find what LOOKS like an equivalency. If you can find an equivalency, even a desperate and false one such as this, then you can call the "bad people" who took exception to Rush spending the better part of 9 hours disparaging a private citizen for having the temerity to testify to a position that was alternate to his, hypocrites...thereby invalidating them and getting Rush off the hook scott-free.

Get in now, Giancarlo?? :p

And conservative women are so representative of women aren't they? Sarah Palin doesn't have the best interest of women at heart.

Conservative women are women. They aren't representative of women. The interests of women are not surprisingly, similar to most voters. Jobs and the economy.

I don't see why Obama has to return any of the money. There is nothing wrong with him accepting the private donation. It's completely legal.

The word "hypocrisy" leaps to mind.

Of course Barry thought Superpacs threatened our very democracy, until he started his own. So, he's at least a consistent hypocrite.

It is an obvious use of the public opinion mill to work over the biggest voice against Obama.

That said Bill Maher and many other public figures demean women regularly. It was a full day to day topic in 2008 when Obama was using some scathing anti-women commentary as he was shredding HRC.

Defending it by trying to deflect is what is an empty argument.

On a saide note I find Bill Maher MUCH more entertaining and laughable than the Rush Limbaugh theatrics. However I am not fooled into believing either of them are doing anything but parody for dollars.

I think what Bill said about Sarah was a insult to twats everywhere. When you tell men to "sac up" or "man up" you can expect to be call a bitch or twat. If you dish it you have to be able to take it. As far as the money, Obama doesn't have the right to give the money back because it wasn't given to him. That the whole purpose of the SuperPac and I would have been pissed if he didn't have one. If your opponents have one, you get one, if they play dirty, you play dirty, thats the way I see it. Bill has enough friends with loot, he could just have them pay money in 6 figs and just repay them and they would still have the money. Rush just stepped in it one too many times, now it came back to bite him in the ass. Still the women are not saying "we denounce him", they are saying "well Bill did it too" or he apologized so move on. Everyone will be talking about Game Change by the time the weekend is over and moved on to something else.

another attempt to lump republicans and democrats together as if we stood for the same things, ill never believe it.

republicans main agenda has been to make "obama a 1 term president" at ANY cost, and so far that is the biggest mistake of the century for the GOP.

If your opponents have one, you get one, if they play dirty, you play dirty, thats the way I see it.

Spot on, I was just going to post something similar to this. It's all well and good to say you don't believe in megaton bombs, but if you know your opponent has one and is planning to use it, you'd better get over your apprehension. You'd better be able to fight back. Fight back, he will.

yea fighting fire with fire, republicans are incredibly weak against their own rhetoric. simply turning their own rhetoric against a republican will leave them speechless.

Conservative women aren't not serving the best interests of women. Simple as that. Conservatives, in general, are not serving in the best of interests of the country. They are all a bit self serving.

And continue calling him Barry... it just goes to show the lack of substance in that argument.

If one is so worried about jobs, they woulds not be conservative or vote republican.

Interesting ... YOU know what's best for women ... not women.

For the record -- Barry went by the name Barry when he was growing up in Indonesia and Hawaii. I'd like to know a little more about Obama, since he was not fully vetted by the media during the 2008 election.

I'm curious how your mother, sisters, or aunts respond when you call them "twats" and "bitches".

Bill Maher is a comedian. His stuff is pretty low-brow and harsh, but it is, nonetheless, comedy.

How does this compare to supposedly "serious" political commentators like Rush Limbaugh, who called a 13 year old Chelsea Clinton "the White House dog", or labeled a young college graduate a "slut" and "prostitute" because she, like 98% of sexually active American women, used birth control.

How about Ann Coulter, who says “If we took away women’s right to vote, we’d never have to worry about another Democrat president. It’s kind of a pipe dream, it’s a personal fantasy of mine, but I don’t think it’s going to happen. And it is a good way of making the point that women are voting so stupidly, at least single women.”

See, Maher might be harsh, but we know it's comedy. These other "pundits" claim to be serious political commentary.

That's the difference.

And for the record, Maher's donation to a SuperPAC has absolutely nothing to do with Obama. In fact, under the legal requirements of Super PAC coordination, it would be illegal for Obama to ask for the money to be returned. Obama is forbidden from coordinating in any way with the actions of his SuperPAC. Your suggestion in your opening post, that he reject the donation, would be illegal.

Is it comedy when Letterman makes a joke about a young girl being raped during a baseball game?

Is it comedy when Maher makes jokes about a young boy who was born with down's syndrome?

I don't think you have a clue about comedy.

Bill Maher is no longer a comedian -- he's a political pundit the same as Rush Limbaugh. The big difference between the two is that Maher represents the media and the left -- so he gets a pass on anything derogatory to anyone he says.

Yeah, sorry, the Letterman gag was funny. The actual line: "During the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez." No rape. No specifics. No inference of "young girls". Just a gag, and a lot of faux outrage.

Maher's gag about Palin's son was actually a jibe at Jon Edwards, not the child. More faux outrage.

The fact that you cannot separate throwaway gags made in late-night adult comedy television, with that of political commentators on daytime news and current affairs programming, is not surprising.

In case you're confused about what Bill Maher does for a living, you can take a look at any ticketing service under the "Comedy" section to buy tickets to his comedy stand-up shows.

And, just repeating myself: Obama cannot legally take any action regarding his SuperPAC.

Yes -- the most he could get away with would be to say, "Well, I wouldn't accept it".

I don't think you have a clue about comedy.

What bubble world do you live in? Watch comedians on Comedy Central, catch a comedy show in Reno or somewhere, and Maher looks like a saint by comparison. I caught part of a show at the tribal casino an hour from here once, and people were roaring at stuff that made Maher's worst seem bland.

apart from the faux outrage, there is a difference between intellectual comedy and demagogic pandering.

stupid people take rush seriously because stupid people listen to his program.

we know republicans are stupid, so i dont hold that against them. the people who try to draw similarities between right wing and left wing ideology is where there is intellectual dishonesty.

im not sure how many liberals take maher seriously, i dont, i know its an act, but limbaugh and beck both feed the same tea-party idiots who take their marching orders from that side of the GOP.

^^^

Rush calls himself an entertainer but he's not a liberal.

It's beyond understanding to accept that using the word slut to describe a woman who thinks taxpayers owe her and other women $1000 a years is unforgivable when others use words like twat, whore, and the "c" word to describe women.

Baffles my mind.

Enjoy the increase in taxes.

I've met, read, and heard plenty of liberals who espouse hate -- but in your mixed up world, those people are sane, honorable, and not bigots.

And you do?

I love it when opponents call Obama by "Barry". It just shows the irrational anger in their arguments. Are you a birther? Appears so. What other straws are going to grab on when everything doesn't seem to be going your way? Economy doing too well now?
Suggestions:
1. dark mustard
2. use of the teleprompter
3. saying that there are 57 states
4. Bill Ayers
5. Rev. Wright
6. Saul Alinsky

The list is endless.

I liked the one about Hillary Clinton having sex with male cross-dresser Janet Reno... the reason why Chelsea is so ugly is because she is a product of this relationship. That one was a real knee-slapper. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
