Bill Maher: Obama's Million Dollar Man

It's beyond understanding to accept that using the word slut to describe a woman who thinks taxpayers owe her and other women $1000 a years is unforgivable when others use words like twat, whore, and the "c" word to describe women.

Baffles my mind.

Enjoy the increase in taxes.

As explained in recent threads, taxpayer-funded contraception saves US taxpayers billions of dollars per year. There are more than 3 million unintended pregnancies in the US each year. This results in around 1.3 million abortions per year, higher than almost any other developed nation. (Most other developed nations provide contraception with universal healthcare, resulting in fewer unwanted pregnancies and fewer abortions.) The public cost of unintended pregnancy is estimated at around $11 billion per year. 100% taxpayer funded contraception would save taxpayers an estimated $5 billion per year. These are medical costs alone: extended costs like welfare, housing and other public assistance are not counted in these estimates.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unintended_pregnancy

Let's not forget this discussion is not even specifically about taxpayer funds anyway: it's about mandating private insurance companies to provide coverage for contraception, which most states already do anyway.

And, as also previously mentioned, 98% of US women use contraceptives at points in their life. Rush apparently thinks 98% of US women are sluts and prostitutes.

Despite the rather hilarious notion that women who have more sex need more contraceptive pills (????), he also went on to say in the same broadcast that if women get free contraception they should be forced to put videos of their sexual encounters online to compensate taxpayers. And remember, he says this stuff on radio during daytime hours, accessible to children.

So Miss Fluke, and the rest of you Feminazis, here’s the deal. If we are going to pay for your contraceptives, and thus pay for you to have sex. We want something for it. We want you post the videos online so we can all watch.

And you think Bill Maher is tasteless????

*yawn*

Fake outrage by thin skinned right wingers. Nothing new here.

Go chase the neighbor kids off your lawn, OP.

Now all we need are some personal insults in fake iphone haiku and the thread's complete.

Suggestions:

1. dark mustard
2. use of the teleprompter
3. saying that there are 57 states
4. Bill Ayers
5. Rev. Wright
6. Saul Alinsky

The list is endless.

Sarcastic much?
The list is endless? I doubt it.

While we are talking about food, ill take my liberal "obamacare french fries" over a conservatives "Guantanamo bay freedom fries" any day.

It's late, but I don't understand your post. You appear to be speaking in riddles. The list I posted are old, tired, Neocon talking points. I can continue the list if you wish.

I protest! I spent all day posting from my iPhone, and it never looks like that! iPhone should not take the blame for this!

Also - lol :D

ok you are being sarcastic. then i take back what i said

Oh Jack.

Some days you are so funny....

It's obviously hypocrisy

The flailing and contortion here is evidence - some will need chiropractic adjustments ;)

The OBL club is out in full force with tongues extended

He shouldn't take the money - legalese says he's powerless - practically he could just say so - but Hollywood gets to blow him first so he'll never cross that line

His hypocrisy on public financing - no make that lying - is one of his greatest core failure as a person

Frankly I think the Bill Maher donation will be more harm than good symbolically

Cheers to the club :)

Yes, and you can obviously can use the iphone properly, not like some *cough* other JUBBERS who like to post fake outrage and personal insults.

On his show this week, Bill takes on the "false equivalency" (and even uses the term!)

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15cG8SihV8Q"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15cG8SihV8Q[/ame]

^ it's on my dvr - haven't watched it yet

I do like Bill - he's authentic - which i appreciate

Bill doesn't want Rush to "disappear" unlike the america hating "liberals in name only" - you know who you are

"do we all want to be talking like white house spokesmen" ?

freedom of speech is the ideal we must protect

"pressure on sponsors is a manipulation of the system"

so I DON'T get your "false equivalency" as the theme here - it's PART of the message and frankly the weakest part

Bill says he's a "potty mouth" not a "misogynist"

Bill is splitting hairs here IMHO

that "I'm a stand-up comedian" - that he should get extra leeway

frankly he did not make the case

says misogyny is not what u say but what u do - referencing the arizona senate

his show is really good

michael steele is such a tool - uh oh is that racist? ;)

michael steele is such a tool - uh oh is that racist? ;)

racist? no.

Anti-male? (tool means penis so....) yup.

Why do you hate men, chance? (OH YES I DID!) (!)

oh suhhh-nappp! :p

(I couldn't resist, but you know you love it)

^ I do :)

keep it coming

i hate men because i can't have them ALL ;)

and check out christian pounds JD on Helix ;)

I'm curious how your mother, sisters, or aunts respond when you call them "twats" and "bitches".

I've never had to because I gave them ample warning when they were treading on my last nerve. I have asked my mother to leave my house before when she started getting on my nerves so she left. As far as my aunts, I've never had to but I know them and I'm sure they have been called a bitch before by others but that's on them. As far as friends, I have called them that but like I told them, if you were acting like a bitch at the time, I will call you one, if you don't like it, you don't have to speak to me again. We eventually patch things up after everyone cools down. I don't use the word twat, because its just too funny and its never been in my vocab.

The law says he cannot coordinate with the SuperPAC in ANY WAY. So he can't say no to Maher, or advise the SuperPAC to reject the donation. The SuperPAC and Obama cannot communicate, advise, suggest - they are separate entities. You mustn't have been watching Colbert last month. :-)

But you're right that he is left in a strangely hypocritical position. He badmouths SuperPACs, but has one. The reality is he won't be able to compete against the Repubs without one, so he has no choice, I guess. It would be nice to see him work toward changing the system in his second term, to free politics from big money.

If someone was forming one for him and he told them please don't, wouldn't that put him in the same position?

Either way, I have a simple solution to the SuperPAC problem: if corporations think they're people, they should be subject to the same donation limits as individuals donating to candidates. A limit is a limit, and it should apply everywhere.

Well I agree, and that's the whole problem, right there.

NEWS FLASH!

David Axelrod has opted out of his appearance on Bill Maher's show. Interesting...
