Bisexuality Discussion Forum -NEW

bickering is allowed in a no flame zone

personal attacks are not

the mods on duty define what a personal attack is

usually it is very liberal and nothing is done

One would only have to see this forum to undersand why the no flaming zone for bisexuals was created. Wasn't JUB supposed to be for people who needed help with issues? Silly me

Here i am. You have all been quite busy posting  Where do i beging with replying?

The no-flame policy works very well in the Coming Out forum. Otherwise, that forum would be useless, because nobody would post intimate details about personal problems if they were afraid somebody was going to tell them they were an asshole, or whatever. Even Soilwork refrains from attacking cheating married men there.

Same goes for the health forum. The Religion forum also belongs in the no-flame zone because again, it's a place to discuss topics that are sensitive, and very personal to the individual. (The political aspects of religion can be addressed in Current Events and Politics.)

But bisexuality? Doesn't it depend on the topic? If you want to say "I'm a bisexual man and I need help on figuring out what to do about such and such", that should be treated in a no-flame way, it seems to me. But if you're going to say, "I'm bisexual, and the trouble with gay people is x y z", then that's already a flame and you shouldn't be in that forum. Right?

In other words, you can flame groups as well as individuals. Neither has any place in the no-flame zone.

i am honestly beginning to think that the real reason that they hold themselves away from the whole community is because they are ashamed of us

and if we arent good enough to hang out with on the street because we dont act the right way, then we shouldnt be good enough to sleep with in secret or to talk to on the internet in secret.

Many people are ashamed to be associated with homosexuality, which is really too dumb for words. Some straight, some bisexuals, some gays (in denial) are like that. Fortunately many (in the netherlands in my case) aren't like that.

I checked it out. Pretty much what we'd all expected. Lots of "Those fags are all so girly and us big Manly Bi Men are so above them all" threads.

I said it in the gaybar thread already. You dramatise everything in the extreme. You always twist words regarding to bisexuals. It is so predictable and it is getting boring.

Soil, I just read through, and posted in, the thread you're referring to. You misrepresent it completely. Considering your deep prejudice against bis, that doesn't surprise me.

If you read RRRalph's posts, you'll see how he unnecessarily puts so many indicators as to how 'straight' he is. His words are honey to those who want to convince themselves of the attitude of "i'm gay/bi, but I'm very masculine; I don't have anything to do with the fags". The problem is that they are still clinging to the notion that being effeminate is repulsive.
I'm always impressed when people read something that isn't there #-o You have stereotyped me and make conclusions based on that stereotype. I have never said i am masculine. I have never said that being effminate is repulsive. I'm sexually not attracted to effiminate guys, including gays and bisexuals.

RRRalph is a hypocrite, but a very clever hypocrite.
When I said RRRalph was clever, I meant he was good with words.
I'm clever and i'm good (!)

As a proud RRRalph critic, I can only say this guy is a joke. I think his intellectual development right stopped after puberty.
There is my biggest fan again!
I notice that spending time in your room and staring at the ceiling for hours didn't do you good. Get a life.

Huh? That's why JUB was created and the porn and all the other forums just happened to spring up? Well, silly me. I thought it was all about the eye candy and not the hand holding.

I'd love to see what the decorators have done with the bi-sexual closet that many of the posters will be now hiding in. I'll bet it is really chic but butch.

Leave Ralph alone, you can´t just even start to imagine how great of a guy he is. (*8*) |

However, I have to admit that I´m very intigued by his psycological background.

Soilwork, you hit the nail right on the head... ..|

When a gay guys points out these things - people yell "OMG you're being intolerant towards bisexuals!" - it's the latest cliché.

RRRalph is a hypocrite, but a very clever hypocrite.

He hit a nail on the head that is popular with his fans.
The two posts of his you cited are inaccurate and misleading, in keeping with his blanket condemnation of bisexuals based on a narrow stereotype.

Good stuff!

So whoever mods the new forum will need to be alert for topics that really don't belong there.
I don't know what sort of bi topics have been discussed before -- I don't venture into the "naughty" sections of the board -- except the bi-bashing ones in Hot Topics, so I won't venture to say what that's been discussed belongs in the new forum. But I can think of some that would:

I have a GF but I'm falling in love with a guy
My wife find out I'm bi and she thinks it's hot!
My bf saw me checking out a chick and he left me
I go to gay bars to pick up guys but they always think I'm straight

BTW: on that last one, I get the impression that gay guys think a bi guy is bragging when he talks of being taken for straight. If they got taken for straight, would they think that was good?

No.

And I'm quite quick to correct them.

I think ANY bi or gay guy who harps on about being mistaken for straight is lame.

Um... we're not all hiding anywhere.

We're here on JUB and have always been in the various forums on here, including the old flame-ridden Bi/straight forum.

Thanks for your concern, though.
