Re: The Official BRITNEY SPEARS Discussion Thread!

LOL smh...you're an Exhale member aren't you? LOL I swear, if I caught something while I was over there...or have some kind of secondhand smoke inhalation poisoning...I will cut somebody!

Would you like some backup?! I'm not gonna say a word! I promise! K, take it away, E!

I'm happy that the press is questioning her stage presence, continuously. As much as I love Britney to death, her team needs to hear us out. You can't just wake up one day and say you can't dance, or you can no longer deliver singing live.

The simple truth is, Britney's heart is no longer in this. Even during the Kimmel and the Jackass skits, she just seemed uninterested. That was not the same Britney that hosted SNL a couple years back!

On a lighter note, I LOL when I saw the Monster claw at the beginning of this video! @0:00, bottom lefthand of screen, red wristband, can't miss him! Sneaky little Monster! LOL

Re: The Official BRITNEY SPEARS Discussion Thread!

I got my copy! What can I say it was a very very early Birthday present or was it a belated birthday gift that never was (wink, wink)???

I like it but I'm still unsure on the bonus tracks...right now they are a little bleh for my taste.

Nocturnal- I think your whole post did nothing but prove my point so I'm done with it and you're blocked so go ahead and trash talk because I can't see shit. I have no need or want for your type of negativity. Go home to mother monster.

Britney's HIAM performance on Jimmy was better than her previous ones because there was really good energy there. The final breakdown looked good, energy wise.

It's funny how much we build people up to just tear them down.

I'm sooooo happy you posted this. I just saw that clip on tv and I was like "so I'm not crazy after all!! No singing and no dancing is just a no-no, and some of her fans are indeed insane (or blind) to call this a decent a performance".

I'm happy that the press is questioning her stage presence, continuously. As much as I love Britney to death, her team needs to hear us out. You can't just wake up one day and say you can't dance, or you can no longer deliver singing live.

Yess. She needs to hear that we are not buying her half-assed performances. She needs to step up her game. She claims to love her fans but I would think she would put a lot more effort in her live appearances if she really wanted to deliver.

The simple truth is, Britney's heart is no longer in this. Even during the Kimmel and the Jackass skits, she just seemed uninterested.

My thoughts as well. Back when Gimme More came out, even though she wasn't a 100% ok (health-wise) I could see that she didn't give a fuck. It seemed like she was just doing it to pay the bills. Looks like that hasn't changed at all.

No the simple truth is you really know nothing about her or what is going through her mind. None of us do.

Re: The Official BRITNEY SPEARS Discussion Thread!

Gaga stans should just stick to the Gaga threads. LOL They're so fucking pressed that they have to come in here and trash her because everybody's praising Femme Fatale and they can't deal with it.

Re: The Official BRITNEY SPEARS Discussion Thread!

I'm not a rabid fan of either group (Britney or Gaga). I listened to some songs on Femme Fatale and the album is pretty good. However, you can't sit there and watch those performances and think that her dancing ability is amazing compared to her peak period around the time when In the Zone came out (according to Rolling Stone). I don't expect her to sing at a concert (very few pop stars do) but if she can't work it on stage, it makes for a meh show. I went to the Circus tour a while back and the energy from the crowd was amazing but you can tell she was just there for the paycheck.

Re: The Official BRITNEY SPEARS Discussion Thread!

I love the dedication that brit's fans have when defending her it's really awesome. The new album production is great it really is. Looking at all the performances I think it really is time for brit to give it a rest for a long looooong while. You can totally tell the love is gone for her in performing and the business period. She can barely live up to her own standards let alone the fans and critics. Basically she's a shell and she knows it. Her legacy will never be touched and will live on a long time. She needs to take a long extended break, take control reinvent herself as the artist she wants to be, and come back on top with a fresh new perspective on her career and her music. I think that's when we will see the spark in her we once saw back in the day. But for right now I think she is tired of the same ol same ol routine and just wants to be free to just do britney.

But great album though:=D:

Re: The Official BRITNEY SPEARS Discussion Thread!

I went out and bought Femme Fatale today, and have to say I'm impressed. Besides already being a fan of the hits TTWE & HIAM, I really liked I Wanna Go, (Drop Dead) Beautiful, and Seal it With a Kiss. The rest of the songs were pretty good as well.

I have to agree with some of the folks on here who say Britney doesn't seem to have her heart in it while performing anymore. Only caught the video from her show in Vegas and it was just...meh.

Seems like most on here either like Britney or Gaga, but not both. Any other Lady Gaga & Britney fans out there? I like them both. Also a fan of Beyonce, Katy Perry, Rihanna, P!nk, Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha...I just have a thing for these divas I guess.

Gotta hand it to Ms. Spears though...good album. :=D:

Re: The Official BRITNEY SPEARS Discussion Thread!

It is a fabulous album and if you read the MTV article on my last post in here... you will see the critics love it too

and

Claude Kelly : Britney Is 'Very Much In Control' On Femme Fatale

"Here's what people don't realize and here's what I've noticed: She's very, very much in control of what she records, how she sounds, how she portrays herself on the record. There's no grand master puppeteering — that's kind of a myth. She knows what she's going to cut. She's not going to sing anything she doesn't want to and she has this amazing ability when she gets behind the mic. It's like eye of the tiger."

-Producer and songwriter Claude Kelly, discussing Britney Spears' confident work in the studio during the sessions for Femme Fatale. Kelly, who wrote "Gasoline" (one of the key tracks on the just-released album), explained to MTV News just how impressed he was at Spears' attitude in the studio and her approach to the work.

"Her rhythm is spot-on. You tell her, 'This part needs to be sexy,' and she's like, 'I got it already,'" he explained. "It's that rare ability that only really true artists have to get into character and to sell a theme and that's what she's good at. ... I think because she's been out for so long, people forget the evolution of her career. When you're in the studio with her, you quickly get reminded about how versatile she is and how clever she is. She's a show-woman."

LMAO Everyone say it with me now!...3,2,1...SEATED!

How did it come to this, Stephenie (is that it???)? From me putting you on my buddy list, to you calling Gaga the Hitler of the music industry, and now finally to you putting me on your ignore list.....we've...come full circle *tear*...Oprah, you said we would! LOL

Don't worry, Stepheherazade (is that it???), I'll keep you on my buddy list! Just for ironic shits 'n' giggles. (*8*)

Is it Stepherumpelstiltskin? It's Stepherumpelstiltskin, isn't it? Oh c'mon Stephe! Still got me on call block?....K...this week I shall dry my tears in 300,000+ pieces of tissue...

Next bitch! LOL

LOL Um, when did you and I start agreeing with each other on something, Innocent? Now I KNOW this is a sign of the apocalypse! Oh LAWD, we-all-gon-die! LOL

Insane? Perhaps, but I wouldn't go that far...though...though, that dude on Jimmy Kimmel last night was a little nuts, I mean c'mon! Kinda sorta cute, but crazy as shit!
Blind? They say love is blind, but if they can make their way to'n'from Exhale and JUB with ease, it can't be blindness. Cataracts, maybe?

Personally I'd say it's paranoid delusion brought on by post-traumatic stress in witnessing the 2007 headshaving, paparazzi umbrella attacking, rehab stint requiring breakdown. AND the worst part, I believe we'll start seeing signs of the onset of capgras delusions in the near future! It's a natural progression, like the 5 stages of grief, but it's still a sad muthafucking case! smh...
No the simple truth is you really know nothing about her or what is going through her mind. None of us do.
No, the simple truth is your (or any other *expletive*) opinion is not going to stop me from voicing my own - now THAT I can fucking guarantee! Get it? Got it? Good!

Well, that's what I was doing! I've gone 17 days in a row without entering this thread! But the fuck if I'm doing that now! Oh, it's on bitches! It's on like muthafucking donkey kong! Trust!

Yes, everyone IS praising 'Femme Fatale', which is an excellent album! IMO, Blackout 2.0! Now excuse me cutie, will you? K'thanks!

Re: The Official BRITNEY SPEARS Discussion Thread!

BRITNEY HAS A "HOLD” ON TOP SPOT

Spears’ Femme Fatale Gives Jive Second #1 in a Row, With 275-300k

March 30, 2011

Britney’s back… and on top of the HITS’ Album chart for next week, as her new Jive/JLG album, Femme Fatale looks set to score sales in the 275-300k range.

The album has actually been well-received by some critics, earning a four-star review in Rolling Stone, while last night, she performed on Jimmy Kimmel and appeared in footage shot for Jackass 3 in which she was bungied while inside a porta-potty. Source

Britney Spears' 'Femme Fatale' Aiming for No. 1

All eyes are on Britney Spears, as the pop diva is poised to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart next week with her new album, "Femme Fatale." Her seventh studio effort, released on Tuesday (Mar. 29), is on course to top the tally with around 280,000 copies sold by week's end on April 3.

Industry prognosticators suggest the album could approach 300,000 if all of the stars align. Presently, it's looking like "Femme" will earn the second-largest sales week of the year after Adele's "21" bow with 352,000.

If "Femme" finds its away to No. 1, it will give Spears her sixth chart-topper. Five out of her earlier six studio sets crowned the tally -- only her fifth, "Blackout," missed the top slot, starting at No. 2.

A sixth No. 1 album would place Spears in rare air, tying her for the third-most No. 1s among women with Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson. Only Barbra Streisand (nine No. 1s) and Madonna (seven) have earned more No. 1s.

Spears' last studio release, 2008's "Circus," blasted in at No. 1 with 506,000 according to Nielsen SoundScan, led by the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single "Womanizer." "Femme" was preceded by the Hot 100 No. 1 "Hold It Against Me" while its second single, "Till the World Ends," rebounds 23-22 on the tally this week, after having already (so far) peaked at No. 9.

Under 300,000 the first week for 'Femme Fatale'? Bitch please!

For Britney, the Legend, whose album 'Oops...I did it again' sold 500,000 copies in it's FIRST DAY and 1,300,000 copies it's FIRST WEEK back in 2000, and 506,000 copies of 'Circus' just 2 years ago, and whose single 'Hold It Against Me' alone sold 411,000 copies the first week, 300,000? The album selling less than the first single? That, would be a flop! And let-me-tell-you-something, Britney does NOT flop! It's Britney, bitch!
Hell, even Adele sold 352,000 copies the first week, and who the fuck is Adele!? Exactly! The fuck....and Sade sold 505,000 copies the first week just last year in February! FEBRUARY! And you gon' tell me 300,000, if all of the stars align?!?! Ho...hoooo, now you gon' done it! Bitch done gon' pissed me off now!

Let me...here, somebody hold my purse.......let me tell you something Hits and BILLBOARD (with your decades of experience in these matters), it's going to sell WAY more than 300,000 the first week! Are you serious?! It's Britney, Bitch! Oooh I'ma cut somebody! Slice some bitches in half, I'm gon Fu..*knock**knock**knock*.........hello?.....who dat?....OH, Bad Karmatica, it's you!...oh *unlocks door*...hey, giiiirl!..........no, they're 3 blocks down to the left....can't miss em......oh hey, they're expecting you, so just go right in.......sexy bitch.....hit that!

Re: The Official BRITNEY SPEARS Discussion Thread!

^ You don't know who Adele is? Damn, you have extremely poor taste. But as a Gaga fanboy, you're excused.

270k isn't bad. Sure, in comparison to her previous sales, it's small...but the Internet age is making those numbers lower and lower. You cannot accurately compare 2001 to 2011.
