PS - does anyone remember her rehearsal for Mannequin in For The Record documentary? back in 2008? It didn't look like like she was giving it her all (energy wise), but you can still see that FIRE in that rehearsal. Like, LEGIT fire. Like 2003 fire. But when she goes on stage, she hides it. I really don't understand why..

a) her voice is mediocre at best.
b) she writes none of her own songs
c) her songs are MEANINGless (let's dance til the world ends? been done too many times before. being attracted to someone at a club? WAY too overdone.
this album is the most generic, meaningless pop CRAP ever. i'm sorry. but how is this significant, in depth music? it's not, that's the point. it's honestly a disgrace. it sounds like she's trying to rip of kesha with this one, but kesha's better at making meaningless music.

and i know i'm going to be called a gaga stan for saying this. i like gaga, not much, though. but at least gaga write her OWN music, doesn't lip sync, dances WHILE singing live, has an amazing voice, has actual music talent, and really truly cares about what she does. britney? erm...not so much. she probably said "hey, THAT could be a radio hit--let's put it on the album!" ...... gaga wouldn't do that.
i don't like gaga much, but i'd choose gaga's toe over britney.

b) pop music isn't suppose to be meaningful
c) she use to write a lot of her songs. but now she doesn't because she wants the full impact at first hand. Therefore it is generic. She has proven in the past she can write songs. She written a few ballads that were released on her albums of the past. She can write.

You want to listen to meaningful songs, and reach down into your heart? Pop music is not the genre to be listening to. She can sing, not spectacular. But, she can sing.

BTW isn't 300,000 pretty normal for this time of year? With circus she had the comeback hype plus holiday sales working for her. I mean I'm no record sales expert by any means but I would guess the market would be better during gifting season than march.

Time of year really doesn't matter. Oops was released in late spring or early summer and it sold 1.3 million.

But just wait until next week for official numbers. HDD predicted that Circus would sell 300k and could possibly do 400k. They also predicted Blackout to do 230k to 250k.

In order of best: He About To Lose Me/Trip to Your Heart, Trouble for Me, Inside Out, I Wanna Go, Seal it with a Kiss.

Very good production team, bridging the commercial gap between four relatively noncommercial electronica genres and blending them together. (I don't even like grime and I'm still saying this). Gaga has absolutely nothing on this album, it's way out of her league especially if she thinks she can write bullshit like the BTW single in 10 minutes and expect it to be halfway decent and not generic. Strong root movement progression? BITCH PLEASE.

Only criticism I had was TTWE had too much of an annoying Kesha influence (to the dumbass who said she was trying to bite off of Kesha, Kesha wrote the song, genius), and Will.i.am cannot rap, or produce. Good job making Britney sound like Fergie. Good job making Britney sound retarded. Transitive Property folks.
