Those vids are towards the end of the tour. At the beginning she looked worse than she did for the current promo performances. There was almost no energy anywhere and eventually she began to let lose and by the end this is what it was.

Plus her circus promo performances were pretty stiff too.

I think she was completely under rehearsed for Femme Fatale's promo performances and it showed. It's clear she doesn't put as much into rehearsing and getting it together as she once did but this is from the last HIAM performance and the end choreography is very tight. She does mess up but covers it well.

Overall she appears happier in the Femme Fatale performances, in my opinion. I'm excited for the tour...I hope she rehearses and I hope she tries to prove people wrong. I'm not giving up complete hope on Dance Britney until then. If she doesn't deliver for the tour I'll know that dance Britney is gone...I'll still love her but I won't keep holding onto it. The only thing helping me hold on at this point is seeing her improvement from the beginning of the circus tour to the end.

The reason she sounds weak (At least to me) is they did not harmonize or put any fucking backing vocals on it


It sounds like Rihanna, when she sings the chorus, has 5 layers.

Whoever produced it didn't give Britney any, or at the very most two. I really am bothered that they did that. I mean now I like it but when I first heard it it was bizarre and I couldn't put my finger on it.

Her verse made me stand @ attention though


I LOVE aggressive Britney but I wish she collaborated on "Only Girl in the world" Something about Britney telling a guy she wants to feel like the only girl in the world works for me.

i think the only good (decent, more like it) song on the album is i wanna go. it has an all right beat and probably will be a single. it's just the autotune shit. ugg. why must britney be like every other singer? she sounds stupid on this album. don't use autotune and maybe people might believe she can actually sing

Maybe Katy Perry and Rihanna. But even Katy Perry writes music and sings live. Sorry, I love Britney, but she is the ultimate manufactured pop star. Her dancing made her big and she can't even do that anymore. :confused:

After reading this I think you're right, her parts do sound a little unpolished/not fully mastered. I was surprised to read this collab did happen within a span of a week. I thought this was planned well in advance only because Britney had mentioned a couple of times in interviews about "S&M" being one of her favorite songs. Like you I was able to eventually like this remix.

Um, being able to produce a hit and go to number one has nothing to do with talent. Britney's strong points were here sex appeal and her dancing. The fact that she has gone to number has to do with her name/brand, the promotion, and her marketing.

Your opinion of Katy Perry's writing & singing abilities are irrelevant. Those writing & singing abilities have helped her get five #1's. Tell me...how many #1 hits has Britney written or even co-written? The answer won't take long to come up with.

Katy Perry hasn't and will never touch Britney's level of fame and impact on pop culture. That isn't something you can just "create" with good marketing.

It's a natural "it" factor that very few have. Britney has that.
