If you've read any of my other posts you'd see I'm not some Britney fan living in a fantasy that's she magically going to start dancing like she used to. I've admitted she's not up to par and I don't care about that.
Anyone whom watches that GMA concert and says they're "very happy with it" is sure as fuck living in FantasyLand! It was bad! Just read IBC's article post above (it's comments section) and the countless negative comments on YouTube and eonline.com, but I digress for now...
I'm still here ain't goin' no where. People must still like Britney as her album is number one on itunes and 13 years into the business she's matching up with her contemporaries which I don't see Avril, Christina, or anyone else that was left over doing.
If there's one thing I
am sure of now is, Britney Spears has the most dedicated stans in the world! I say "stans" because anyone that would put up with the blatant lack of interest towards the promotion of this album,
has to be til-death-do-us-part devoted! That's why, and the only reason why, she still
appears relevant today. Do you really think that if this were her first album - with a performance like we saw on GMA - that she would be #1 on US iTunes right now? Hell no! - not judging by the stan reaction on YouTube alone!
When asked if she was involved in the making of her album, she said her only contribution was that she chooses her own songs (and is very picky with what songs make the cut).
And now, when it comes to promotion, knowing fully well that she's known for her energetic performances, she spends 90% of the concert sitting on props or just standing around while her
dancers go all-out! Even with a 7 year old knee injury, there's no excuse for the absolute lack of energy throughout (and many would agree with me).
Case in point: Beyoncé (also 29) is not known for her dancing prowess, but even (at times) as her dancers are going hard behind her, she's strutting around that stage and talking to the audience, getting the crowd hyped! Watching that GMA concert, Britney's fans were so desperate to see some action, that they cheered when her dancers simply pushed her around while she sat on a prop during 'BFB'!
My question is: can't sing, can't dance, what can you do? And if it's just "make great pop music" (and 'Criminal', 'Til The World Ends', 'Trip To Your Heart' and 'Inside Out' are amazing!), then that's totally acceptable, but don't claim "the bitch is back and better than ever" when the "bitch" - known for her dancing more than anything - is just standing there, hopping, flipping her weave or sitting on props during her performances, while her backup dancers are tearing the stage apart! If you're gonna talk the talk, then walk the walk! It's Britney, Bitch! The Legendary, Ms Britney Spears! Remember?

I haven't been to the OFFICIAL LADY GAGA thread in a very long time and it's because I truly could not give two fucks anymore. I researched her and she became more annoying to me than she was before so I just stopped trying to like her and decided that if she is what does it for you guys then that's great.
