Brothers & Sisters

It seemed like Saul and that guy had an affair of some sorts when they were younger...that's what I picked up on

I think Saul is gay and that guy seems to be his bf. If it is true, we might see Saul smooch scenes in near future.

^ Well then if that were the case why did the friend come out to him and say, " i am gay." Wouldn't Saul already know.

Although the way the scene was acted it really did come off as if Saul and the man fooled around before.

before that last scene with him saying he was gay...I figured like Saul was in love with the dude's ex-wife and something happened there...but i'm pretty sure they had an affair...or at least something happened once and that's maybe why they weren't friends anymore cause Saul got freaked out

Best. Season. Finale. Ever.

I love this show and can't wait for a DVD or Season 2!!!

"We've all been through so much this year, what's a little property damage?" LOL

Damn tonight was some amazing television! First I cried for two hours straight watching the mother who adopted the boys with AIDS get a new house, then all the crazy-ness with Housewives (wow I can't believe she's gone!) and finally Brothers & Sisters once again delivers an amazing episode.

I was so glad they caught up to Justin before he got on the plane; I would've hated for him to just leave the party and not tell anyone he was leaving.

Yeah I was kinda taken back by the whole Is-Saul-Gay-Or-Is-He-Going-To-Be-Gay-Next-Season plot twist (great twist though!)

I agree with newboy, this year's Emmy for Lead Actress in A Drama Series goes to.........Sally-duh!

(Noms also to Kitty & Justin)

I love the finale... for the most part.

I kinda got disappointed that they let Rebecca off easy with the Joe thing. They could've done SO much with her as the "evil sibling".

Other than that, how sweet was that Justin send-off? How tragic was Tommy covering for Julia by her bedside? How silly were the McCallisters? How nice to see Kevin not being bratty and bitchy (Sidenote: He bested me by seeing 'Wicked' one more time than I did). I mean, even Holly and Sarah somewhat made up.

Congrats on a great season.

Um, guys, Saul is gay. I thought everyone knew this already. I heard they were going to do this a month ago. How about this whole gay minister twist. RANDOM!

as much as I kinda liked the evil rebecca storyline...i'm glad they kinda didn't go further with it...cause with an evil sibling i feel like it could have moved into a soap opery direction and I don't want that to happen with this show....keep it simple.

Yeah....

I did, TOO..... :(

HOW I wish this show was on HBO ! :grrr:

They have assembled SUCH an amazing cast ! Sally Field, Rachel Griffins,...God....the possibilities are endless.....

Alas.

It's on ABC.

:-({|=

The Senator was right in "shaming" Justin into doing his job. I have no empathy for "soldiers" who voluntarily sign-up for the military and then whine when they have to ship out. I'm sure it's all good to be fed, clothed and given a free ride in college but when it's time to fight, it's time to fight.

But why did the Senator even need to "shame" Justin; Justin has never had a problem with going back to Active Duty (that is, after he accepted the fact he had to go). I didn't understand his speech to Justin at all.

Saul is obviously gay. C'mon, he's still a bachelor at his age? He blows a perfectly good relationship with a hot woman. And I don't think he was into his friend's ex because it seemed as if his interest was piqued when he found out about the divorce, and it wasn't for the woman. And something about the way the Michael Nouri character looked at Saul when they first connected again just made me say: Oh, oh, this guy's gay.

But hey, if anyone is looking for some sort of realism behind this relationship, remember, there's no realism on tv. Look at how suddenly the Senator's brother took after Kevin when he was supposed to be so angry at him.

Saul might not be gay...could be that he just had a fling with this guy 20 years ago. Recall that this guy, can't remember character's name, said that he still thinks about the trip to the keys.

There were some homosexual undertones but Saul went after Holly. Although initially he went out with her to get dirt but he fell in like with her.

Wouldn't Nora know. That family can't keep secrets.

I don't want him to be gay, but depending on how they write it my feelings might change.

Clearly Saul and his friend had a sexual relationship for a time. Whether Saul is gay or bi we'll find out next season.

Eric Winter.. the gay minister... SO HOT lol

Last night was the first time I ever watched this show but I LOVE IT. Can't wait for Season 2 this fall.

And the Emmy goes to Sally Field. Incredible stuff.

I agree, this was a great finale. I couldn't help thinking as I watching not only how good Sally Field was, but how good Calista Flockhart has been through the series. Best supporting nom for her.

Actually, the acting was really supurb all the way around - I just want the gay guy to written as less of a bitchy character. And while the minister was hot, I want Scotty back!

I think the senator's brother and Kevin will develop a LTR, but they'll be like the Bickersons, arguing about everything and then jumping on each other's bones. Kevin also might learn to be a little more humble and understanding of others.

Finally got a chance to watch the finale on abc.com, and I loved it.

The pool scene at the end made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :)

Totally agree. Great episode from one of the best series in years.

I'm surprised at all the discontent about Kevin's character. I think he's terrific and rather realistically portrayed. ..|

See, that's the part that makes him realistic to me. He has his ideas and ideals, but struggles to reconcile them with his actions. And I'm sure pretty minister boy really did all the party planning for the finale. ;) You do have a point about the blackmailer sequence, though. It was played with too much humor, I think. Dunno. I'll keep watching nonetheless.
